Great read. One thing that I love, in knowing that feeling is how Gerry explains he was just feeling it. Such a unique thing to basketball Mayne more than any other sport. You go out in shootaround and you are locked in and everything is dropping. That moment when the jitters fall away replaced by the excitement of wanting the rock and to start dropping buckets.

I was in Argentina finishing up the last few months of my missionary service. Usually missionaries aren't allowed to watch sporting events, but I got special permission from my mission president (that's what we called the leader of the mission) to watch it by explaining to him that Syracuse winning this game for me would be equivalent to Argentina winning the World Cup.

Lots of great season since then. I have a good feeling about next year. Point Gs' and Centers are critical. We have three kids that are better at the point than anything other than Kadary we have had in a long time.
Jesse is going to be a beast. He might be first team all ACC next year if he makes the same jump as he did this year. Kid is very talented. We need Benny to make the Soph more leap and I'm betting on Bunch and Taylor to shine. I think we come into the dance with a low seed 9 10 and make a run as the kids will be mature by the Dance. Jim is going to have a great year coaching now that the Kids are gone, and the Dome will be rocking with the mask gone. Time to get back to being Cuse.
