This game was just posted on YouTube. We lost -- but we played them extremely tough and led for much of it.

After the Ferri pick to begin the 2nd half, why didn't we throw to the end zone from just outside the 20?

Reyes run -1 yard.
Reyes run -3 yards.
Screen pass.
FG attempt.

Would have preferred 3 shots at the end zone before settling.
I really started to become a dedicated fan in the Marrone era, but from everything I've heard about GDL, this sounds right.

If you fast forward to 42:50. Just after we score on a long pass. You will find a freshman CuseCrew with an orange mohawk!

Reyes fumbled right before halftime on the 5... What could have been...

Pretty much summed up the offense/fans frustrations after McNabb graduated. Remember this game well. FSU fans were sweating it big time. Once Reyes fumbled on the goal line though I knew it was going to cost us the game.

I love jolly and quasi-senile Bobby Bowden who meant to say Sugar Bowl in his pre-game sideline interview but said Super Bowl.

I think it was pretty much Jimbo's team as this point with Bowden as more of a figurehead.

Haven't watched yet, but my recollection was before first half we had a scoring chance crushed by an FSU DL on the ground who reached up and punched the ball out of Reyes hands.

It was a killer.

i think i have cte or something. i don't remember ANY of this game.

Leon Washington singlehanded beat us.

Their QB was awful. We should have won but Washington took over and we missed FGs.

It was maddening how we had a really good RB and couldn't/wouldn't use play action to take advantage of teams stacking the box during that era.

Games like this show how badly our talent level has fallen. We ha a lot of Division 1 athletes on defense and OL.

Poor Perry Paterson tried but he was mediocre and the lack of playmakers in WR was obvious. We had 2 stud RBs, a good OL, and athletes at LB and ball hawking Safeties.

Greg Robinson recruited a few gems but killed the depth. Marrone recruited depth players but no studs. Shafer swung for diamonds in the rough unsuccessfully. Hopefully Dino is bringing back the depth.

Give Dino the 2004 level of talent on defense with his offense and I think we go 8-4 consistently..

I think we were left in a scheduling bind that year and Bobby Bowden stepped in and did SU a big favor agreeing to play in Syracuse.

Might have happened because of what the ACC did to Syracuse the previous year.

Regardless, there was some emotion in the Dome that day. The fans and players wanted to show the ACC they made the wrong decision. Which of course was correct.

Maybe its totally my imagination, but Walt always felt like a superstar to me in the Dome, but kind of slow and average on the road.

He was, I mean I thought he was good anywhere, he was a legit Heisman candidate, just wasn't on a good enough team.

I can't remember what happened yesterday, but I know this game was at night. I remember the Yankees were playing the Twins in a playoff game right around the same time. I remember we were in the upper deck corner where the Tops Family Section is today (wasn't there then obviously). I think it's the only time we ever sat in that part of the Dome. Reyes fumble was right under us. Final INT was in that end zone. FSU had a backup QB who couldn't hit water from the boat.

But yeah, yesterday's lunch? Seriously, no clue.

I could remember a play from a game in 1996, can't remember if I signed my time sheet today at work.

Wow. I still remember nothing

"They're not that good" - a despondent Cuseguy slumped on the bench as the dome emptied out
