2014 Uniforms

I would like to see a Orange and Blue version of the Seahawks, with the same pattern we use in hoops on the shorts running down the pants...

To this point, why don't we ever hear of pushback from yearly BBall uniform adjustments? Be it one-off uni's or different designs...they embrace the yearly change (as does the fanbase). While on the football side, we seem to be perpetually stuck in 1990.

I'll tell you why. Becuase basketball wins. The folks clamoring for the McNabb football unis are desperately grasping for straws that somehow if we go back to those uniforms, we''ll be good again.

Ill go early in the thread on record as saying I am a fan of SU Football, not SU Uniforms. Really could care less what they wear - As long as the team is happy and we win.

My opinion its all about what the PLAYERS and RECRUITS find appealing. Nice looking jerseys to recruits is a plus. In the end as long as they win!

Not that anything we say matters but I think there is a way to make every one happy. what if they have Orange jerseys and pants with some blue on the side or wherever and have a all blue helmets and cage. Thats an overhaul but there is alot of orange for the orange lovers. I think that would be a great compromise. And I agree I think they are planning on a complete change from the traditional uniforms theyve had.

A complete overhaul of the complete overhaul from that season? I wish the powers that be could make up their minds. Great programs have timeless uniforms. We are not Rutgers and shouldn't act like we are.

For what it is worth, I hate the Dr Gross era basketball uniforms too. Home and away are a disgrace.

No, I really like that uniform as is. We are the Orange. No one ever said we are the Orange and Blue. Use orange, but if another color works better to compliment it, then use it. Really like the orange with black here.

Just better not be orange jersey on orange pants. Yikes. I really liked the uniform combination used in the Texas Bowl. A more traditional style jersey (in white) with that sweet looking new helmet (blueorange).

A little birdie who claims to have close ties to the Syracuse football team says, “I’m being told 100% that there will be a complete overhaul of the uniform, including new pants, jerseys (including an alternate), and helmet.” None of this is verified yet.
