2014 Uniforms

For all the traditionalists out there:

Wearing an alternate uniform once every 2-3 years isn't exactly the same as wearing it 6 times a year.

I would say to OrangePA's of the world who have a valid point, but one respectfully disagree with. That in today's world 2014 the inmates(players) are running the asylums and the kids want flash and shiny rather than tradition. I respect tradition and understand your mindset, but Syracuse isn't a selector school we get kids with talent, but not the elite of the elite and in today's world kids care about the uniforms and Syracuse uniforms have been among the most conservative of any schools in BCS conferences. 2013 we finally added a new alternate helmet, and blue pants. I respect tradition, but I think if Syracuse can get kids interested in their program due to the uniforms that can only help where we as fans care the most with wins and losses.

I have no problem with an alternate jersey or uniform once in a while. Just not every week.

Even the NFL restricts the number of times a team can wear alternates during the season.

And if alternate uniforms were the answer to everyone's problems, how come Maryland still sucks?

5. While many of the top schools change their "look" on a one off basis, they still look like their school most times. In the Texas Bowl, you could not tell that was the Syracuse Orange(men). It was embarrassing.

Maryland's recruiting has improved since they added Locksley and had the new uniforms. Getting talent to Maryland isn't the problem its coaching and developing that talent into cohesive teams and staying healthy. Darius Heyward-Bay, E.J. Henderson, Vernon Davis have all been high picks out of Maryland in the last decade.

I agree...this Boise State look is awful. Definitely need more orange.

Btw, aren't you the one that posted Syracuse has less orange in their uni's than 4 or 5 other ACC members? Just doesn't make any sense.

That would be me. We wore less Orange than Virginia, Miami, Clemson, Virginia FREAKING Tech, We have the 5th most Orange in the ACC and our nickname is the freaking Orange.

I think the all blue look should go. Other than that, I think the relative % of orange in our uni's compared to other ACC teams is in the "why does this matter, at all" folder.

The % of orange is completely subjective. There is no right answer.

I actually didnt mind the blue Unis, was nice to see something a little different. I remember the basketball team wore all blue twice and after we lost both games, JB said enough. I thought we looked sharp as hell in the all blue. Either way sounds like new uniforms are on the way, rest assured Bees Orange will play a prominent role.

A little birdie who claims to have close ties to the Syracuse football team says, “I’m being told 100% that there will be a complete overhaul of the uniform, including new pants, jerseys (including an alternate), and helmet.” None of this is verified yet.

I would love a nice Orange colored jersey. That's all I ask for. I don't care what accompanies with it. Just give me Orange.

That being said, anyone know where I can get an Orange 44 jersey that is "Stitched" not screen printed? All the 44's I see have screen printed numbers on them. Hell, I'm not picky with the color. I just want a stitched Syracuse football jersey.
