That’s interesting. I’d wager attendance was up because it featured 3 local traditional teams plus Brown. Maryland, UNC, Loyola.
IMO, they move the championship weekend (or game) off of Memorial weekend and it’ll be an attendance disaster. You don’t change tradition, but how many people are going to take days off and pull kids out of school to travel for it? Not many.
Non-traditional market would = fail.
Moving off the traditional calendar would = fail
Smaller venue – like back to Byrd or on campus sites would be outstanding.
