OK with Happ. Not sure about Tanaka. Maybe they are hoping the last year playoff Tanaka will appear again. Would really feel a lot more comfortable with home field for the one off game. Yankees are a HR hitting team and the stadium plays well for that. Yanks need to win 2 of next 4 to guarantee it. It wouldn't surprise me if Oakland wins out. I think they are getting too cute setting up the rotation for a Yankee-Red Sox ALDS that may not occur.

I understand the decision to go with Happ. I would start Severino because I just believe he is the superior pitcher. I always look to the larger sample size. Happ’s results have been fantastic since joining the Yankees, but the advanced stats suggest that he has been benefiting from good fortune.
