2021-22 Covid Cancellations

Once one league does it the rest will follow
Yep… this is the next logical step if vaccines work against omnicron sickness. I’d hate to be someone who can’t get the vaccine though. I could also see mlb going this route. NFL is interesting as there are some large men in that league. Also what happens to families? Are they also supposed to take that risk?

I can see many players quite understandably not wanting to play against asymptomatic positive cases. What then?

Yeah, this is a literal WTAF?!???

Asymptomatic cases are still contagious.
That’s a big part of why Covid is as bad as it is.

But - let’s just ignore that minor fact, because: sportz!!

There was something on ESPN yesterday about testing and viral load and if players have it with a low # they might just continue playing. Cannot seem to dig it up now.

Edit: NFL:

At least there is a Tiger King season 2 just in time for Omicron.

All joking aside, hope everyone stays safe and if you get it, get through it ok.

This stinks. Maybe we can do a retro game thread based on a game on YouTube? Maybe something from the 80s?

That is an insane policy. You can’t have forfeits and give the unaffected team a win. Who came up with this moronic policy?

Every P5 conference had the same policy for football.

It only affects the conference standings which are used for seeding in the conference tournament.
