2021 Battle 4 Atlantis

I've never been to the Bahamas. Is it realistic to attend this tournament but not stay at the Atlantis? It seems like everyone I know who stays at the Atlantis leaves feeling like they were shaken down by the Mob with how much everything costs.

Can't remember if I posted this already, and don't feel like looking lol.
We booked the RIU from 11/23-28. We might shift our dates forward a day so we don't fly out on thanksgiving. Might add a few days on the front end, or spend those days in key west or another island near Nassau. Ladytroop wasn't a fan of Paradise island for non basketball days

How worried should we be about this ticket situation?
You?? Not at all.

You’ll show up, and have somebody like Billy Owens give you a ticket, then go drinking with DC.
Yeah, I don't think there is too much to worry about. It's kind of annoying to not have it all planned out before you leave, but based on last time, ticket availability on the whole isn't a problem. Even in the championship, there were quite a few empty seats if I remember correctly.

I would guess it just might be another month or two before they become more widely available to the public. Seems like they might just be reserving a bunch for Syracuse athletics department and then probably Atlantis guests as well.

Didn’t they just add mid-court seats this week? Lol

LOL, I'll just be pumped if I can sneak back on the yacht again

I don't think many of my usual traveling crew have secured tickets yet.

Unless they have some new hires, I can outrun the majority of Atlantis security and Nassau Police. If we need to plan some sort of ticket snatch and grab/Oceans 11 action, I think we could pull it off.
And now I'm back in...

I'm gonna stay in a van down by the beach

I mean, it could be just that the people I know are whiny cheapskates.
I went down last time. I stayed outside Atlantis and we drove in. Being outside was fine and easy to get around. We stayed at like a Hilton.
The issue is you gotta valet park. They won’t give you wifi, you cannot go anywhere but the casino. They won’t even allow you outside unless you buy the water park pass. It feels like a money grab on their end for EVERYTHING. You probably get more access to the team and stuff as well being on premises. The weather was pretty cold when they played so being inside wasn’t a big deal.

Still trying to book through cheap carribean at the RIU. But still can’t get tickets on the Atlantis site. I’d rather secure the tickets first before booking...as the price gets steeper and steeper...

Prices are rising quickly on the rooms. :(

Very solid field. Baylor is a consensus top 15 team, MSU/Auburn consensus top 25 and UConn is popping up in some preseason top 25 lists.

MSU and Cuse probably have the easiest 1st round matchups (I wouldn’t be surprised if that was done on purpose)
