Southern guy and a Jersey guy...who knows. EDIT...I supposed Charlotte is considered southern...lolBoth QB’s had good interviews. Just different dudes with different skill sets.
If you listen to both qb interviews sounds like TD is definitely more confident in his standing of the competition. Which isn’t surprising especially giving everything so far has been with out pads.I still think devito starts and garret gets a couple series against Ohio. Hopefully they both tear it up!
I agree but I thought Shrader was very open and honest. Didnt give short responses. That says something to me. I dont know TD at all. For all I know he is a great guy and team mate but I been around confident guys all my life and most of them are like that because they are hiding behind a mask and dont want people to see their flaws. Something about GS interview sounds genuine. Now genuineness doesnt necessarily win you position battles lol.If you listen to both qb interviews sounds like TD is definitely more confident in his standing of the competition. 100% agree, I think the honesty with himself is prob what makes him a strong competitor. The opposing team is going to show you, your flaws whether you lie to yourself or not haha!I agree but I thought Shrader was very open and honest. Didnt give short responses. Maybe I am just an optimist, but whoever wins this quarterback battle will not win it by default. He will actually EARN it. And, we will have a very capable backup that will see time in many games to help him develop. If Tommy's head is straight after playing behind subpar O-lines for a couple of years and absorbing too many hits, then I think he will show us that golden arm of his.I agree but I thought Shrader was very open and honest. i agree with you but I think you put too much emphasis on the after effects of poor line play. Tommy is not the only QB that had to deal with pocket collaspes, sacks and injuries. That's part of football. Every QB knows when they have time to throw, extend a play or just get rid of it. I thought Tommy did hint at what his issues are. Its mental. That's a big part of the game. Even more important at the QB position.Maybe I am just an optimist, but whoever wins this quarterback battle will not win it by default. He will actually EARN it. It’s not just the beard, I swear. But I get big Firzpatrick vibes from Garrett. Longer, mature and thought out answers paired with dashes of whit and humor. I think he may have the personality of a guy that can carry a lockerroom but doesn’t need the cameras and attention on him.I agree but I thought Shrader was very open and honest. To me, you just described confidence. It’s not just the beard, I swear. But I get big Firzpatrick vibes from Garrett. Longer, mature and thought out answers paired with dashes of whit and humor. Ding, ding, ding. We have a winnerMaybe I am just an optimist, but whoever wins this quarterback battle will not win it by default. He will actually EARN it. Got some Elvis in him. Presley and Grbac.

Had the exact same thought. Just makes me think even more that #16 starts the opener. It’s not just the beard, I swear. But I get big Firzpatrick vibes from Garrett. First practice in pads was two days ago. We don’t know when scrimmages are, but they’re traditionally on Saturdays.
Maybe Grbac, but Elvis Presley was dead long before he was conceived. Unless you are saying Elvis is still alive????Got some Elvis in him. Presley and Grbac.
if the oline struggles you have to have that Dungey like option to move the ball. if the oline steps it up we have more options since even the 3rd string guy will now have some pretty valuable experience.Good interviews from both QBs. Lot of pressure, If it was me in my 20's I would babble like an idiot ( just like the one I've grown up to be).
Tommy will start. Garrett will be a weapon. Just win some games and all will be good.
FaxFULL pads. So far they have only been in helmets and shoulder pads with limited contact. Things tend to crank up a bit when they guys are in FULL pads.
By the way... I think it is tomorrow
Shocked, why?SHOCKED DB allowed Sharder to be interviewed. Saw that TD was also suppose to be interviewed. Have not seen the clip.
Good interview. Typical responses from other players. Interesting that Gilbert is calling different plays based on their strengths. That’s good to see.
