2021 Fall Camp Starts Friday August 6th

Yup. It was all thud and hard to tell from that angle also. Inside zone was the play they gashed the defense on.

Just look at the yard lines from where they started (~31) and where they were after the first two running plays. 2nd running play he goes about 8-10 when the whistles start up.

Honestly just seeing the team and getting a look at first and second team has me pumped. Seeing chestnut and Simmons out with the 1’s has me less nervous about db depth. Knowing Alford was getting reps with 1’s is awesome. Just easing anxiety that there isn’t massive holes in the two deep

A lot of outside zone (stretch). That should make a lot of people happy.
Also liked the direct dive plays. Didn't look as much like RPO as designed. Get Tucker the ball faster. Maybe I just missed that from last year but didn't seem we did that a lot.

I agree, I think GS wins this battle for some reason.

Interesting answers from both of them regarding their relationship with one another.

It’s def a two horse race

Not convinced at all what you saw today with be exactly the same when teams takes the field in Ohio. We know some of the players locked in but still three weeks of camp. Lot of position players could change.
With how secretive DB has been he is not going to roll out his 1st and 2nd team for an extended media day.
Feel the 1st scrimmage will be a week from tomorrow and then the following week. After that positions will get solidified and they will focus last week on game prep.

No way Tommy gets that throw off in a game.

While I agree the line up on the 4th will prob be slightly different. I don’t think Dino intentionally mixed up starters for the press today. Especially considering we are talking about 1 or 2 positions and accounting for minor injuries. two newcomers in the secondary on first team. You would think if anything he would rather have known entities to show the press not newbies (specifically talking about Simmons and chestnut).

I think the line ups is where it should be after a week of practices. I dont think he was hiding anything. There's going be some movement on the depth chart but I no one is expecting after 1 week. Even if some of the young guys have impressed early on.

Agree. There aren’t many mysteries about who will be starting outside of a couple DB spots, and the QB issue that we’ve beaten to death.

Maybe OG, maybe Waxe pushes at LB. Maybe the 3rd WR. But nothing where you’d be surprised to hear who ran with the 1s today.

Your'e right.

This is Jimmy Schlensker, Head Equipment Manager and great guy.

Any former lax, FB, X country, boxing participants remember Zack?

Agree that most of the positions are set with the ones except the ones you mentioned. May be a change at center with ulloa.
The twos may see a lot more movement by the first game.

The twos will be the most interesting part of the first depth chart.

The ones all being a year older, a year stronger, and healthy will be the most interesting part of watching our early season games.

I was very happy to finally get a taste of Syracuse football with these videos. I had to chuckle a bit when Dino was talking about the media giving Clemson and Florida State information in the past. It's practice so I'll take it all with a grain of salt but it was nice seeing some runs that weren't dives and them have some success. There wasn't much downfield outside of Dillon's pass to Umari that was incomplete so not much to say on the passing game.
