I went to bed assuming we would win. My son broke the news to me when I woke up. Unbelievable!

Chapman, lol. Biggest enigma of all time, dude can't hold a 4 run lead against the hapless Angels without Trout. Unbelievable, if this team sells he should be at the top of the list.

5-6 more appearances like this, and he'll be out of Boone's "circle of trust".

With what value? The Yanks might have to throw in a prospect to get someone to take him.

What a MESS!

Not for nothing but if not having played in a full season league is a thing, bring him up and let him play center field, and I'm only half kidding. Scratch that, he would probably get injured.

Assuming that’s the problem, which I am not ready to do, both of these guys are naturally- gifted. I’m sure they will adjust and figure out how to pitch again. Hopefully, it happens sooner rather than later.
Pittsburgh Cole was still a good pitcher.
He wasn’t a 36 million per a year guy but it’s kinda obvious watching how many pitcher would go to Houston and have their spin rates magically go off the charts.

Chapman has always had control issues.

Yankees are really only one hot streak from first place.
Unless Sale is somewhat decent the Red Sox rotation is junk in the last 2 spots or the Sox get lucky and draft Al Leiter’s Son 4th in this year’s draft and see if he has better stuff than their AAA SP.

If the Sox get Jack Leiter in the draft they will fast track him I bet.

Pretty coincidental that both of them look nothing like their old self.Cole still looks above average, but you or I might be able to get more outs than Chapman has been getting since the sticky stuff went away.Maybe MLB brings in the Japanese ball or some kind of tacky ball that will help, but this has turned into a disaster.

I think the tacky ball is a good idea.

I don't see this situation as a disaster though. Teams were warned at the beginning of the season.

Cole may have to figure it out throwing to his second favorite catcher tomorrow. At more than $1,000,000 per start, I'm hoping he can suck it up and get it done.

No they won't. He won't be pitching against LSU. And in my daily prayers, I hope the Red Sox take neither Vandy pitcher. Of the two, I do like Leiter more. But I don't love him. The Red Sox have Tanner H., a former 1st round pick who I love. Last fall, in the big leagues, 3 starts vs three playoff teams = 3 wins. And Sale. As for the Sox rotation, which 2 are junk? Richards, yes. They can win with any of Nathan, E-rod, Nick or Perez. They need to muddle through the next month. Right now, their bull pen is money. 12 wins in June.
