Not to mention, Minshew ain't Hurts.

Offense is one thing. Bigger issues for Philly are on D. Record breaking sacks but not getting turnovers on them.

Better hope they don't muff it next week.

The Bucs are 8-8 and can rest their players next week because their playoff fate is sealed. What a country.

The 9-6-1 Giants can also rest their starters and the 13-3 Eagles can't

Getting pressure and not takeaways sounds like an unlucky non problem if there ever was one.

Didn't say it was a problem - just points to that crazy sack number alone isn't enough. Their injuries have definitely impacted the overall D just like it has for Dallas.

As of right now, the Lions are the 7 seed in the NFC at 8-8, and next week they play at Green Bay. Can someone explain to me why they don't control their own playoff destiny if they win?

Nate Silver has them at a 69% chance of making the playoffs if they beat the Packers next week. What am I missing?

because seattle does

My prediction of Dallas losing at Tampa in January is still alive.

Will the Giants give the Eagles a game or will they decide to rest Jones, Barkley and whoever else?
*shifts gears….

The faltering Eagles are LUCKY we don’t need this one! They don’t want these problems!!!

Law of averages starts to get you on those 4th down sneaks. Philly has stayed way above average all year.
There is a big difference between when Gardner Minshew is doing a QB sneak and when the guy who squats 600+ is doing a QB sneak. Unfortunately Nick Siriani didn't get the memo.

Assuming SF beats AZ they have the 2 seed locked up and could get the 1 seed if Philly loses to the NYG.

Dallas can get the 2 seed if they beat WASH and Philly loses to the NYG. Otherwise they have the 5 seed.

Minnesota is locked into the 3 seed.

TB is locked into the 4 seed.

NYG is locked into the 6 seed.

GB, SEA and DET fight it out for the 7 seed. GB beats DET then they have it. If DET beats GB then they have it if SEA loses to LAR. Otherwise SEA is 7 seed.

I hate Tom with the fire of a thousand suns, but why every year anyone thinks, THIS is the year he doesn't make it, is beyond me. Same as saying, this is the year he loses in the first round. Is there any doubt he beats Dallas in a playoff game?
Man, he’s great but he also gets so LUCKY.

Panthers shut down CB broke his wrist at the end of the game last week. No way Evans goes off like that if he plays.

He won’t win It, but Hurts should be MVP based on the past two weeks alone. Obviously Mahomes, Burrow and Allen are great, but I thought Hurts was on another level this year.

So GB-SF for the 900th time in the playoffs. Can't imagine Goff in the cold will go well; even if it does they always get ref'd off the field in Lambeau.
Could Giants-Vikings unseat the worst wildcard early Saturday wildcard slot aka the AFC South game? I wonder if Minny is even favored by a FG there, kind of doubt it.
Tampa is so annoying; Redzone refused to get off that stupid game, surprised they didn't give us the postgame handshakes.

There is no way anyone but KC is lucky enough to get this crappy Steelers team or Skylar Thompson in the playoffs - which actually gives me some optimism about the Bills hanging onto the 1.

Personally I’d go with Dexter Lawrence, but yeah: Hurts has a strong case as well.

...I mean one of those two was a 40pt shootout?!

I agree but when it keeps happening for a period of time well... He's won rings by being lucky also, you can name a play here or there where he would've lost. Mahomes is the same way, being my teams in the same division, I've seen it often. He makes some of the craziest lucky plays that shouldn't be successful by the insane throws, improvising etc. but he keeps on doing it over and over. I just can't count those types out until they retire (for real). I fully expect Brady to win his first playoff game at least. Believe me I always hope he doesn't, but..
