Mike Tomlin having THIS Steelers team in playoff contention is just further proof at how good he is.
Not a Pittsburgh fan by any means, but would love to see him kill the Ravens and specifically Harbaugh.

Yeah Mahomes should win MVP IMO. Hurts has been great, but Mahomes has carried the Chiefs more than usual this year
Weak schedule and lost to Cincinnati and Buffalo. JMO. Also Kelce.

I would vote for the winner of tomorrow nights game in the AFC before Mahomes, but I also thought Brady deserved it over Rodgers last season so I am sure I’ll be wrong.

The voters will ding him for those but he also has the worst defense/special teams of the three teams

If he's not great, the Chiefs can lose to teams like the Texans/Broncos/Raiders

You can spin it a lot of ways. Burrow has the worst rushing offense and worst defense of the 4 teams. I just think Hurts is the most dynamic of the four guys. I’d actually have Mahomes as fourth in the MVP voting. Head to head matters as does supporting talent.

You can spin in lots of ways but the Eagles easily have the fewest weaknesses on top of a weak schedule (their best win is at Detroit?). Plus the best OL and 2nd best weapons after Burrow.

Now that I think about it, McDermott deserves more COTY consideration. Overachieving injury depleted defense, brutal schedule, weather adversity, two good players on offense with the QB nursing a bum elbow lately. Of course, it's a stupid award cause preseason win totals are God.

I don't personally agree with placing a ton of emphasis on head to head results, but I understand the reasoning behind it and that voters will use it as a criteria.

I can't believe I'm going to actually stick up for Mahomes a bit but; I agree with looking at head to head, as well as everything possible. One thing not mentioned here with Mahomes is, he's doing it with a different supporting cast at wr and rb, and losing Hill which can't be understated. I remember people saying Hill was a big reason they won (in detracting from how good Mahomes was). After a while you can't deny a guy doing it with whoever is on the field.

Hot take: Carr has been the only solid/stable thing about the Raiders franchise the last decade, and while I get them moving on….this was a disrespectful and unnecessary way to do it.
I've been on the Carr needs to go bandwagon for some time. Watching the guts Stidham played with yesterday on plays where Carr would have bailed early solidified it for me.

Law of averages starts to get you on those 4th down sneaks. Philly has stayed way above average all year.
difference between Hurts and Minshew

It's more than that. Statistically Philly has been way above average.
You're being stubborn on this one. Hurts is probably the strongest QB in the league (Minshew pales in comparison). He has the size and strength of a large RB. Couple that with a strong interior line and it's nearly impossible to stop them from one yard out.

Updated times for Week 18...
If the goal was only the best competition instead of tv, they would do what MLB does and start all the games at the same time on the last weekend.

Wow. Lions and Seahawks screwed here. Total gift for Packers
Awful decision by the NFL. If the Seahawks win in the afternoon, the Lions are eliminated and have zero to play for against the Packers. Should have been Titans-Jaguars in that time slot or at the very least teams that are only playing for home field/seeding. The whole thing reeks of Packers favoritism.
