2022 NFL Thread

Awful but predictable. A red hot packers team led by AR is a much better draw in the postseason than either the lions or the seahawks. All about those $$$.
Also funny in that the Packers have pulled this late season rally many times under Rogers and the NFL helped them out and game the Packers home games in week 17, 18.

I think the criticism is about the 're-start' that it appears that the teams shut down. Buck mentioned 4 times, that the teams were going to warm up for 5 minutes, and then re-start the game. Cameras showed Burrow throwing, and Diggs rallying the troops.

Then, McDermott and Taylor were shown talking on the sideline, after which McDermott motioned/pointed to the locker room. If there was no 5-minute re-start, what were McDermott and Taylor talking about?

Troy Vincent (same guy who broke a teammate's leg during a non-contact drill, to prove a point) carrying water for the NFL is pathetic.
Vincent or Buck who's lying?

Honestly surprised the NFL did more than just saying the game is cancelled. The neutral game site thing is about as close as we could get to handling this all fairly I suppose.

Edit: the bengals ravens coin flip thing is absolutely bizarre. I don’t get it at all.

The Bengals got screwed on this entire ordeal. They are going to end up playing just 7 home games this year. I hope they win this weekend cause frankly the coin flip idea is bizarre.

Eh, they're not the only team that will have only had 7 home games this season. It's an imperfect solution, and there was no way that every impacted team would be pleased.

The coin flip thing is bizarre, but it's moot unless the Bengals lose to the Ravens sans Jackson. Does anyone actually think that's going to happen? I mean, I guess it's possible, as the Bengals barely hung on against NE in Week 16 (having nearly blown a 22-0 halftime lead), but I seriously doubt the Ravens win on Sunday.

I find it hard to believe zach Wilson can be drafted in the top 5 and Dobbs was on the street until a couple seconds ago

Wilson was overdrafted IMO but the stuff he showed in college was worth drafting somewhere in the first round and hoping you could coach him up.

It turns out Wilson sucks as badly as Dobbs does though. Both pretty terrible QBs.

Why are the Chargers playing their starters the entire game? They’re locked into going to Jacksonville, right?

The Dak / Kellen Moore era cannot end soon enough.

We moved to Maryland the same year John Harbaugh was hired (2008) and this is the first time I've ever noticed a palpable feeling of people being frustrated with him.

well. That Rams roughing the punter call was as bad as it gets in 2 ways.. No idea how they missed that one.. and then the roughing on Geno if anything should be on him not the guy he tried to run over.. Then some life in the lions with the missed fg.. quite the ending so far.

The SB win was just a gift coverage mistake though. Other than that under achieved over and over

Really happy that the refs made sure Seattle would be in this until the end. That’s why I watch football! The NFL could spit in all of our faces and we would still watch every Sunday
