2022 NFL Thread

I’ve placed a large wager on Philly -1.5

He needed to be better. His coach did him no favors by not running the ball on 2nd as well as 3rd and 3. Got too cute and are going home.
The 2nd and 3rd down calls cost them the game. Missed block in the back and stupid late hit don't come into play if they play smart there. Burrow is good. Holds the ball too long.

Cost them the game? I disagree. Game was tied. The block in the back no call that directly opened up the return lane that provided the needed field position cost them the game more than play calling on the attempted drive to go ahead. Otherwise they were playing for OT.

The open promotion of gambling by sports leagues is making me care less about sports.

And the “fans” who only care about the games that they’re gambling on, which is basically everybody, annoy the hell out of me.

I’m going to learn how to paint or something.

Can you paint me a still of the 2-3 zone, please?

If anything they should go back to 14 games. Linemen were like 260 pounds back when they switched it.

17 games while playing on Mondays and Thursdays is nuts.
WHO THE FARK IS LORD ASHBY?!!

youve been doing this post now for months. When you goin? You post more about sports more than any person I know in my non online life

Where is the ball? I want to know if the 7’4 217 pound center should be getting pile drived in the paint or leaping at a corner 3.
Use your artistic vision, and surprise me.

Absolutely brutal penalty, as bad as it gets. Feel for him though, can’t imagine that feeling. Chiefs are lucky.
Game should have went to OT. They held 3 Bengals linemen on that play. Not sure why Ron Torbert keeps getting big games because it certainly feels like his crew blows a lot of calls in big games(I know it's an all star officiating crew).

I am having a good time messing with Chiefs twitter as they gloss over the missed calls but would be the first to whine if the situation was reversed.

It's fascinating to me the NFL has failed so miserably as it pertains to officiating.

For instance in the divisional round, the crew that called Dallas/SF averaged a little over 10 combined penalties called over the season while the crew that called the Philly/NY averaged 14 a game. That's massive in terms of what should be a much more precise aspect of the game and yet both crews are good enough to be calling playoff games?

Then you look around yesterday's games. In both games you had major calls missed and then clear inconsistency with how things were handled on the field and in the booth. Officiating should not be as variable as the field conditions... and I would argue it's maybe more so these days.

Loving the attention being paid to all of the blown calls.

Glad this happens only in the NFL and not in games involving Syracuse Basketball.

The NFL needs to pare back their rule book and let people play. The litany of rules makes it impossible for the stripes not to impact the games, and with the gambling aspect basically running the league...needs to be figured out.
