2022 NFL Thread

Not sure how players get picked for this event. Team sends whoever, NFL picks, Player's Association chooses???
I was expecting to see big Jordan Davis as the Birds rep. Instead, it is undrafted Carson Strong who signed as a free agent post draft. Weird.

FitzMagic is retiring after 17 seasons and playing for 9 teams. Pretty cool text he sent out to all his former teammates...
His last NFL moment was cheering for the Bills, shirtless, in sub-zero temperature

The evolution of FitzMagic...

Rams have re-worked Aaron Donald’s 3 remaining contract years to give him a massive $40M raise through 2024, making him the highest paid non-QB in NFL history at 31 years old. He gets $95M through 2024. ~Rap

Rams are giving all-pro DT Aaron Donald a two-year, $60 million extension. ~Schefty

Deshaun Watson's a perve.

What a creep.. we can argue from here till the end of time as to what degree of crimes occurred here .. but there’s no denying this dude is a freaking dysfunctional creep… can’t imagine cheering this guy on as my teams QB.. the depravity of the nfl is well illustrated by how many teams were all in on this dude despite all the info…

“One woman, who did not sue Watson or complain to the police, told The Times that he was persistent in his requests for sexual acts during their massage, including “begging” her to put her mouth on his penis.

“I specifically had to say, ‘No, I can’t do that,’” said the woman, who spoke on condition of anonymity to protect her family’s privacy.”

Pretty happy the Saints missed out on Watson. He may never play again.
and it gets worse. Apparently the Texans knew some bs was up because they prepared NDAS for these massage therapists to sign. You don't do that unless you think he's not getting these massages for aches and pains. This same organization that is run and owned by so called "christians" were enabling this creepy ass to do his thing. It's oh so very...political if you know what i mean.

That oughta be great for the locker room.

What a trash organization. “Dust up”, lol.
what is more troubling from the perspective of a Washington executive? that his political bent lead him to call Jan 6th a 'dust up' or that he lacks the intellect to not say the quiet part out loud?

Were it any other league … his career would be in serious jeopardy (see the Trevor Bauer situation) but since it’s the NFL, the question will be , 4 game suspension or 6?

I think this might be the time the NFL will have no choice. Plus he’s on the Browns so its not like they are a franchise that will get favorable treatment. The Texans also own some responsibility here.

They enabled him.. yet were still able to unload a toxic as heck asset for full market value

That's the crazy part. The Browns, at least, don't see him as damaged goods. I'm sure they weren't the only ones. But it also just demonstrates how invaluable a top tier QB is in the league right now.
