2022 Yankees Season

Wow -- terrible terrible baserunning by Chapman not giving a chance to Guerrero...even if the base hit fell where the hell was he going? He wasn't going to score.

That was awful

But I don't know if King is ready yet. He was really rushed.
Why did they wait a few pitches into the Matt Chapman at bat to get him up.

I'm a Jays fan, but just watching as a baseball fan I am frustrated with Boone's handling of this. He wasted 3 minutes of warmup time for no good reason.

Well it seems like King was ready. Great job by him to warm up really quickly because Boone did him no favours and he was rushed. He could have started him at the ball 6 or 7 mark instead of the ball 10 mark. In the end it made no difference.

The team has not looked overly-impressive (the pitching has), but 4 - 3 is a solid start against the Red Sox and Blue Jays. As John and Suzyn will tell you incessantly, The Yankees underperformed against the Orioles last year. Two out of three this weekend will be fine with me.

That was Gary Sanchez level basepath awareness.

Matt Chapman is a very cerebral players which makes it even odder.

Probably what happened is that Chapman was playing situations in his head during the at bat, and was thinking how important it was to get to third with the tying run with only one out if the situation arose. When the ball was hit he focused on that. All I could think of

As if it isn't bad enough that I get stuck with O's coverage only here in Northern Virginia, I also have to hear these announcers mock Syracuse football in the process.

A twofer of terrible.
