I don’t know why you insist on using dramatic verbiage like “players you want to trap there” when I explicitly say I think they should be able to transfer if there’s a coaching change. There’s nothing wrong with an organization saying this is how it is, we found flaws, so let’s make adjustments. It’s what effective leadership does.
If anything, the double talk is you saying you think there should be guidelines around player movement in some scenarios but then in others you don’t.
You say it happens every year, and I don’t think that’s true. I think this is the first time there was a domino effect across multiple programs of a P5 program coach leaving after the portal closed and an asymmetrical 30 day portal window opened that resulted in programs being raided. And if/when Harbaugh leaves it will probably set off another domino effect. Rational leadership will make adjustments while still allowing players to transfer.
I can’t figure out if you’re just arguing to argue or if you don’t understand what’s being discussed. Either way, I’m ok with moving on and understanding we view this differently.
