2023 NFL Thread

I see KC winning the Supe. Better QB, better HC and better defense, no matter who they play. That said, would love to see Detroit win it all but that feels like a long shot.
Ya I'm definitely taking them vs SF assuming it's close to a pk and I'm not even sure I agree about the HC. The 49er D is just overrated & the QB obviously.

Ravens were a bully team who got cheap when they couldn't bully KC. Mahomes is the difference and watching this year made this Bengal fan glad we have Burrow.

The one thing they do have is a defense that is better than any they've had in the Mahomes era.
No doubt, but a lot of self destruction the past two weeks. Penalties and turnovers were the difference. If that’s Joe Burrow on the other side instead of Lamar I think we see a different outcome. That panic throw into 4 guys midway through the 4th was as dumb as it gets.

I thought all year they were dangerous just with the QB + defense. "But WR drops..." seems like a stupid reason to count a team out given how not predictive that is, in a league where everyone is flawed...

That Raider game really made me think it's not their year. Go thru the Patriots 20 year reign. They never ever ever lost to a crappy division team at home at the end of the year when they were playing for seeding. When they finally did (Fitzmagic in 2019) it was over for them.
Thing was that the 12/25 debacle was the Chiefs literally handing Vegas that game. 2 turnovers leading to 14 points in a very short time. O'Connell didn't complete a pass after the 1st quarter. Chiefs lost that game the Raiders didn't win it.

Fanduel look ahead lines are SF -3 vs KC and KC -3.5 vs Detroit.

KC made it to this game largely thanks to being able to take the last week off while Buffalo & Miami were going to war suffering catastrophic injuries.
But ya some people think it's dumb to not rest guys when you have the bye which I don't fully agree with.
Maybe don’t go all out for home field then? It certainly didn’t help Baltimore or Buffalo.

What has Jackson done to be lumped in with Allen / mahommes / burrow even? He’s basically a discount version of Allen.
He had one amazing year in a unique offense nobody was ready for.
This year's mvp is a total default. There's no insane Rodgers season like there was in 2020 & 2021 to stop wait for it..Josh Allen from winning one. He really is the unluckiest player in pro sports history; I'm going total fanboy & buying his jersey tomorrow I think.

Fair based on the playoffs, but he’s got a better winning percentage than both Allen and Burrow in the regular season.

But, but, but... did you see him catch his own pass?

Last week watching ESPiN trash Josh for losing the game felt incendiary, and almost personal. I wonder what the story will be for No Show Lamar?

Mahomes ain't losing to Brock freaking Purdy if that is the matchup

If the superbowl is lions vs chiefs it will be one of the most lopsided rooting balance this country has ever seen.

339 million of our 340 million will be rooting for the Lions.
I won’t even watch it.

Any good movie 2024 movie Recs?

True but there was tons of time left. I may have lost a bit live betting that one.

The 49ers Dline is getting pushed back 5 yards in every running play.

Shanahan has the big rep but he's lost a lot of big games. Big Red just routinely outcoaches the opponent.

I always remember 2007 when everybody was telling Tom Coughlin to tank the last regular season game vs. the Patriots because "you can't beat them". He went all out to win and lost 35-38. But his players knew they could beat that team.
