Jimmy Butler (164/55) - traded for DeJounte Murray (107/47). Win for now even though Murray hasn’t been strong.
DeJounte out for the year with Achilles injury. This trade is a fart in the wind.

I’m starting to regret my trade of Bam/Hart for LaMelo/Hali.

Bam finally is showing signs of life, and Hart’s putting up nightly triple doubles while LaMelo’s ankles are putty.

NOTICE - Effective 9:00 AM next Monday Morning, I will switch the settings for the league to 5 IL+ and 5 additions per week (from 4 and 4).

I know there has been back and forth chatter on this. I just didn't sense there was unanimity on this like waivers, and think its best to stick the rules I said would be in place when we started the year. Will put the whole IL, IL+ up to majority vote at end of season.

Personally knowing the tanking and sitting that might be coming, it will probably be a net positive.

CORRECTION - Effective 9:00 AM Monday, Feb 17th the changes will be made, not Feb 10.
Not sure why I thought the ASG was this weekend.

Yea I immediately logged on to post. That sucks.
I've made it through most of the season without Chet Holmgren. Now that he's back hopefully he can pick up some of where Wemby left off.

(These are the lies people tell themselves in the face of trials)

Hopefully that works out. May need to make a trade though...

I'd be in favor of transitioning to a keeper league where we had the ability to keep x number of players. Then Wemby would be able to help you. If you choose to keep him. Those big guys take a lot of punishment on their bodies.

I guess that proposed trade between Luka Fawkes and Soup is a moot point.

I saw this coming. I’m not sure the exact reasons for the trade rejection, however just to let people know my thoughts…

Embiid - has been limited and I expected he may be shut down because the 76ers are terrible.
Luka - clearly awesome and my favorite player in the league but he’s only going to go 50% of the remaining games to keep him healthy for the playoffs. If it was a keeper league I’d never trade him but people have to remember being available is huge asset in fantasy basketball.
Harris - available and can stuff a stat sheet.

Mitchell - thought he could replace Luka’s scoring and his other offensive pluses would mitigate most of Luka’s absence.
Davis - I expect him back soon (next week) and he is going to have to dominate to get the Mavs a better seed. He may not play back to backs but I would think he goes more regularly than Luka because of the playoff and team fan pressure.

I wasn't sure why the trade was rejected. I checked if it was a trade deadline issue, but we use the standard Yahoo trade deadline date of March 6, 2025.

It appears the trade was rejected by 3 members (league rule) for a veto, probably due to the injury I would think.

I did not veto the trade personally -- I thought it was an interesting trade between #6 and #7 in the league who are battling for the last playoff spot.

I can also see though concern of trades this late in the year (especially if it involves a bottom feeder), but that was not the case here.

Any way we can revisit the trade deadline next year.

I vetoed because anytime you have a trade with a guy who’s currently injured, that’s bad form. As opposed to me trying to offload Lamelo on anyone once he has a good game!

Yeah man, I don't want Lamelo.

I'm concerned that Lamelo won't play much down the stretch as Charlotte tanks, and he is already banged up.

Quoting myself, but the unfortunate part about the March playoffs is tanking and resting really tests the rosters -- but there are gems on waiver wire to be found, due to minutes boost... but it involves luck.

And the March nonsense begins. Yesterday, I was down to only 2 injured players yesterday (Suggs + Cam Thomas, who seems to be playing every other game)

Then the following all happened today.
#1 Jalen Suggs - out for season after surgery after lingering injury (Dropped)
#2. Oubre - Out for Illness "re tanking"
#3. Mobley - Out for "rest"
#4. Ware - Out with a DTD injury
#5. Amen Campbell - Out
#6. Lebron - DTD
#7. Coby White - DTD.

I ended up using 4 of my 5 adds already, as I need to have a really good week to have a shot at #2.

Good thing is all of my players (#2 to #7) are short-term or resting type injuries -- as well as Cam Thomas. But this is a forecast of fantasy playoffs that will hit most of us.

I went from zero injured to John Collins missing again tonight with his on again and off again back issue, and then Sengun was a last minute scratch. And to make it worse, Jaren Jackson Jr. did something to his ankle in the 1st minute of tonights game. Hopefully, it is nothing major, as he would be someone I could ill afford to lose down the stretch.

Faced that all season long. Extended rests, tanking, devastating injuries.

My season was over week one

I HATE selling LaMelo for pennies on the dollar, but I had to. He's a prime shutdown candidate and I can't take that risk. Porter Jr has actually been pretty good recently so I think it's a fair trade.

For as much as I feel like I shouldn't have traded Hart and Bam, Hart has really slowed down recently and the other guy I got back in that trade, Hali, has been incredible. Dude's putting up like 20/12 every night with great %s and ZERO turnovers. That's so valuable in fantasy.

Very tight race for 2nd Place and a tight race for 6th Place. I think we are all feeling the same stress of not having enough roster spots to combat all the guys missing games down the stretch.

What standings are you looking at? Those standings are wrong.
