Looking at the ranks, "apparently" the biggest dud so far in our draft is Giannis, preseason rank 7, current rank #170. Someone at Yahoo Fantasy may want to revisit that ranking algorithm.

OK, he has a few bad things. Only one 3 made, and a FG% of .554 which is made worse by his high attempts (so he really hurts in that category). At the same he can single handedly really help you in the FG category at .607 in 21 attemtps.

Regarding Week 8 -- we are still in week 7, last week and this week are combined. I only figured it out this morning. This is a Yahoo thing, not a league option.. Its due to the fact that there are few games played between Monday-Thursday this week due to the IST quaterfinals.

Looking at your roster, I assume you are trying to move Tari Eason to the IL. If you confirm this is what you are trying to do, I can use the commissioner tools to try to get it done for you.

I was able to move Eason to your IL+ list.
Hopefully it was only a one time system glitch, and that it works next time.

I know I’ve said this past three plus years but the lack of availability of non-stars let alone stars makes it really difficult to be consistent. I know it’s pretty similar for other teams. I need to participate in the draft instead of auto-drafting and trying to manipulate my team through trades. It’s my own fault. Durability among stars needs to be weighted and really projected each year by drafting managers.

The 4 IL is huge but I don’t know if I have had a week where I had a healthy roster. If I’m .500 when Doncic comes back then watch out league.

I certainly prefer IL+ is better than IL, but it does weaken the player pool, and more guys are on W than normal. But I also think it allows you to try to stabilize a bit more when things are going to crap with your roster

We are rapidly approaching the all star break. As noted in post #2 "Rule Changes for the Year", my intention is post All-Star Break, to increase IL+ to 5 and weakly adds to 5, due to all the players that start to sit out (rest or tanking).

Is everybody still Ok with the inrease in IL+ and adds post ASB - if I get multiple objections to the change, I'll put it up to vote.

Part of me would love to shorten the bench and IL+ to force more good players onto the wire...

I'm not opposed to that idea. My pet peeve is with all the GTD's and Outs that tie up your roster and decision making especially if you are not checking it every 5 minutes between the hours of 5 pm until 7 pm. And it's just going to be worse the next few months.

One thing I would like to see is when someone is no longer eligible for IR but is kept there for insurance. Just another player that should be in the pool.

Also, when someone gets cut, I would love to see him immediately be eligible to be picked up by another captain instead of having to wait three days.

Right now the list of players eligible to be picked up is basically garbage.

We could change the waiver wire from 3 days to 1 day or no waivers at all.

MID-SEASON RULE CHANGE PROPOSAL - FAIRLY MINOR

There is some wording in this post explaining the proposed change, but if you are TLDR, basically the rule change is below in bigger type. If you strongly disagree with it give the post the ol stiletto (the thumbs down icon under like_, or a like,

I have read the comments about the IL+ with some liking it (I personally prefer it, but also concern over the impacts IL+ has on the player pool, too much GTD management, too many players on waivers.

So here is what I can't do mid-season. Change roster structures (total number of players... number of IL+) . We can certainly put them up for majority vote for next year.
1) Reducing the roster size by 1.
2) Eliminating IL+ and going back to IL, or reducing the current IL+ size.

This is my proposal for what we can do now without changing roster structures but will help the player pool in a limited manner.
1) Eliminate the concept of Waivers. Player is available immediately upon being dropped.
2) Do not move forward with the rule change I had announced at the beginning of the year (in post 2) to increase IL+ to 5 spots after the All-Star Break. This will shrink the player pool even more which is what we are trying to avoid. That being said I will increase the number of additions to 5 as originally planned post ASG, as moving players in/out does not reduce the pool size.

If you are strongly against these changes, give the post a stiletto (don't like), and please raise your concern. I'm not moving forward with any MID-SEASON rule change if one member strongly objects. Off Season its simply the majority, middle of the season has to be more like a veto. Also likes are requested if you are in favour of these rules.

Effective January 23rd (Thursday), unless there are objections (or thumbs down to this post), waivers will cease. Players will be FA immediately once dropped by a team.

Making it Thursday, allows those still on waivers to pass through the cycle one time before the rule is official.

I have changed the settings to no waivers.
There are still a handful of players that show up as (Waivers, Jan24), but not other days, I assume they will be the last ones, but if waivers still pop up I will try to fix it again.

This should improve the player pool a bit.
I am getting hit by injuries right now... and guys like Suggs, Thomas just seem to hang around longer than expected. I don't want to release Kabongo, but may need to do it.
