I've accepted that I'm likely to lose but we'll see if any fringe moves pay off!
You might be thanking me for dropping Yabusele the other day. LOL!!! I can honestly say that he was probably the only guy I picked up that I've never heard of.

I think I had him right before you. Running out waiver wire fodder to try and stat pad, hoping they don't blow up field goal percentage or turnovers.

Not feeling great about this week's playoffs. Jalen Brunson has missed eight straight games. Nikola Jokic has missed five straight games. John Collins has missed six straight games. All with ankle injuries. And Malik Monk out two straight with an illness. And my opponent, Luka Fawkes looking pretty healthy.

For the sake of transparency. If you look at the overview of our league, you will see that CliftonParks adds have been decreased from 2 to 1 for this week by the commissioner.

Clifton contacted me letting me know that he had accidentally dropped Kyle Filipowski -- right after that he picked him back up which wasted one of his weekly adds. He also was not playing that night.

I am able to go on the system and change his adds from 2 to 1. But before doing so, I cleared the change with Guy Fawkes who had no problems with it.

Good news is that I had some a couple of positive things that came my way around 5:00 tonight.

Problem is after while my mind got wandering in a good way, I totally forgot to update my team roster tonight before game time -- my plan around 3:00, I was to substitute in Coby White and Amen Thompson for Porter/Watford, but wanted to make sure they were good to go tonight before bringing them up from the IL.

The mistake might cost me in the end.

I still don't think I'm going to win this week, but if I do its all because of this guy. An amazing player. If he played in NY or LA, they would have already been building a statue for him.

That's the worst brother. I had no idea otherwise I would have given you the heads up.

I don't think it will make a difference in the end, it will still be a loss fair and square. Might have made a few categories closer, might switch one category.

I'll track it end of week, just to confirm. I wouldn't have been able to play KP tonight though so I have to deduct his huge 2-2-2 performance.

Not the right week to get distracted. Will it cost me? I'm going to quantify it.
#1. As mentioned before I forgot to bring up White/Am Campbell for Porter/Watford on Thursday. That let me play Porter on Friday who was a negative (FG% and TO's)
#2. Yesterday around 6:00 i created an open roster spot, and was going to take Adam Bona from the Sixers as Philly was the only team playing 2 games. Got distracted by a call, and then at 7:40 I think about it-- too late. He had a nice game.
#3. I'll also have to take the delta of Ausar Campbell who I picked up today, vs Adam Bona today to get the final impact.

Now its also quite possible that GBO would have made adjustments today to counter some of these differences.

But here is the total impact. Could have been much more interesting entering today.

PTS - 41, -2, 16 = 55 (Would make category 621 vs 597 for GBO), but difference is 24 not 79
FG - 16/31, - 1/3, 8/9 = 23/37 (Would make my FG% .483 vs .471), would be up .483 vs .481
AST - 14, -2, 1 = 13 (I would now be ahead 165 to 157)
REB - 13, -2, 10 = 21 (Category would not be 258 to 257)
STL - 2, 1 = 3 (Would only be down 2 instead of 5
BLK - 1, 3 = Would have category on lock
TO - 2, -3, 3 = THose 2 extra TO's make me lose a 1/2 point.

Score entering today would be 6-3 instead of 7-1
But I would be only
24 points behind
1 rebound behind
2 steals behind
Only have 2 more turnovers.

Could have been interesting but I screwed up.

Congrats to Luka Fawkes and Momma There Goes That Man for getting to the SFL finals. Can Luka jump from 6th place to win? Talk about getting hot at the right time if he does.

IIRC, he did the same thing in one of our first years. Had a gap to make up to even get in the playoffs, then won it.

I was looking over it yesterday and it would have been very close.

Used up my last add today. I’m going to need quite a bit of luck - big games from scrubs, the best players to play (Luka and Murray), and GBO to go somewhere without cell service.

Haha brother, it's going to come down to Sunday. Your studs are capable of putting up massive numbers...

I think I would have won. barely, but its on me. For the most part my roster was fairly healthy that week, so I had that big advantage... I made a few bad roster additions who were junk, and wasn't vigilant at the time of the year when you need to be vigilant.

I agree. The playoffs are about availability and luck. Dyson Daniels ended up as my highest ranked player and I picked him up as a FA. Luck is critical.

Well, thanks for letting me play again this year. I'm sorry I wasn't more competitive but would try again next year unless you find a more competent manager. I've played fantasy football a lot but fantasy basketball has a different rhythm I have yet to handle real well. Injuries are three dimensional compared to football, too. Scoring is a good bit more complex as well. I like to compete and enjoyed playing though I need to study up on how to evaluate players better. At least I won my last match of the season. Congrats to GBO and the other medalists! Best wishes to all...

Congrats on your win. It's not easy. I peaked too early, with my core guys very solid, but once the playoffs hit, I was screwed. I ended up with some guys rated 125+. Guys like Jalen Brunson, Nikola Jokic, John Collins, Ty Jerome, Cam Johnson, Malik Monk all spent extended time on the Injured list in March and/or April.

You will be invited again Shenexon. Don't worry.
You are managing your roster week to week, so that is the biggest thing that makes the league work... get lucky in the draft and you could be near the top next year.
