Good. Dont want the hype to get too muchOk I was all in on Hodgson, but perhaps he isn’t ready to coach his team to victory in primetime.

Haha I also thought this. Clearly sandbagging.Good. Dont want the hype to get too much
Exactly. Win the Sun Belt & pull an upset or 2 in the tourney next year before taking his dream job at SU.Good. Dont want the hype to get too much
No p5 school is going to hire a coach from the Sun Belt that has never won the regular season or conference tourney championship. Two years in the Sun Belt. No regular season titles, no NCAA appearances. Hard for me to believe that’s gonna have P4 schools salivating
100% he's leaving. That's my read. He's a great coach and Indiana native.
No, not with the scrutiny at Indiana and unrealistic expectations. Just keep winning at Clemson and making NCAAs and that'll keep their hoops fans happy. Clemson's a football school. Indiana is a basketball school and they'll ride him out of there quick if they don't make F4s or compete for NCs.100% he's leaving. That's my read. He's a great coach and Indiana native.
I don’t think the pressure at IU is that intense. They haven’t made the final 4 since 2002 and their last championship was 1987 (ugh)No, not with the scrutiny at Indiana and unrealistic expectations. lol he's so gone
You are probably correct on that. Indiana hasn't been nationally prominent in forever. I think their fans have probably accepted the downfall. I hope our fans don't accept a downfall for us.I don’t think the pressure at IU is that intense. They haven’t made the final 4 since 2002 and their last championship was 1987 (ugh)
He was rumored to be on a very hot seat after the 2022-2023 season after losing in the first round in the NIT. He saved his job last year in a very big way. Without Chase Hunter, Scheffelin, Lakhin, Zachery and Foster all gone next year, he will really need to hit the portal hard at Clemson. He has 2 pretty good juniors Wiggins, Dylan Hunter etc but lots of big holes to fill too.No, not with the scrutiny at Indiana and unrealistic expectations. The ACC is so weak right now.100% he's leaving. That's my read. He's a great coach and Indiana native.
They mentioned again tonight that chase Hunter and Scheflin, between them, have 295 starts at Clemson. That's the sort of continuity that we're unlikely to see again. He was rumored to be on a very hot seat after the 2022-2023 season after losing in the first round in the NIT. There also may be some hurt feelings from his 15 year tenure and the pressure and criticism he got until last year for making just 3 NCAA tournament appearances his first 13 years. It could be perceived as another hit to the ACC’s reputation losing another experienced coach, especially to look like a stepping stone to go to the Big 10. Clemson has money to pay him so it will be interesting to see what happens. They mentioned again tonight that chase Hunter and Scheflin, between them, have 295 starts at Clemson. Basically, Brownell caught lightning in a bottle. Now would be a good time to bail.
