I was fine with ASU. Boise and, while I think Georgia would still be Top 12, they should have received some FSU treatment once Beck was hurt and been seeded lower.

If I was the NIU athletic department and Notre Dame ends up winning it all, I would hang a blue and gold banner in the NIU stadium that says "Notre Dame, 2024 National Champions, 15-1." But then have the "1" in red and black text that very clearly stands out. It would be a fun conversation piece to honor the biggest win in program history.

48 degrees at the Gator Bowl. High was 62 today. Guess we didn't miss out on the Florida weather.

This bowl game also feels like it's in the 'why are we still watching games that aren't the playoffs' phase of bowl season.

Belin for Duke is looking pretty terrible...they're overmatched. This was never going to be close without Murphy in at QB. We would have been 1000% the better choice!

It helps that most every pass play GA called was post snap throws and nothing came out on time for most of the night. Back wasnt much better either most of the year.

Anyone still wishing we played Ole Miss? Getting our teeth kicked in by them with Tennessee up first next year would have been a nightmare.

Totally agree with the bolded. I know I'd be into it if SU was playing, but I bet a lot of fans without a rooting interest feel the same about remaining non-playoff bowls.

How could they be seeded lower they won their conference. Should Boise have been 2? Oregon was undefeated.

The seeding was fine Bama or Ole Miss for SMU of course probably gets a close game first round but that's terrible from an SU perspective.

I get that Texas is now SEC but no former SEC teams prior to this year in the final four is great.

Ole Miss wouldn't punt against our D all game. They might not tonight vs Duke.

Kyle probably breaks the record but takes how many hits doing it.

We left it all on the field vs Miami and got to see the offense in rhythm one more time. Perfect ending to a great season.

So did FSU last year and they got knocked down to 5 after they lost their QB.

My post was in a chain of posts regarding opinions that the playoff seeding needs tweaking. I agree. Georgia is a different team without Beck so my opinion is that they were not deserving of the 2 seed. Boise also should have been seeded lower.

other than that 1st round home game does the seeding even matter? Boise and ASU played neutral site games against teams they’d have probably have played anyways.
