2024-25 College Football Playoff TV Schedule

Did I miss the discussion about Kirby Smart aggressively pushing an opposing player?

Really the W15 rankings should have stayed the same once Beck was out. That ranking had Oregon, Texas, Penn State, Notre Dame 1-4 and 3 of those made the semis.

No doubt, Boise and ASU were great stories but top 4 seeds? No
I'd still like a conference title to mean something, so I'd tweak the format so the top 4 conference champs are guaranteed a 1st round home game, not a bye. The lowest a top 4 conference champ could be seeded is #8. If they did that this year Texas and Pedo St. get the byes. The first round is Clemson @ Ohio St., SMU @ Notre Dame, Indiana @ Boise St., and Tennessee @ Arizona St. If chalk prevailed your quarters are Oregon vs. ASU, UGA vs. Boise St., Texas vs. Notre Dame, and Pedo St. vs. Ohio St.

Yup, I misunderstood the post. Doing too many things at once. Yeah, coming away with no points doesn’t help but the one play was the 4th and 13 touchdown that ASU gave up in the first OT.
Never should have got to OT, 4 and 2 at the 2 yard line kick the FG. You already got stopped once on a 4th and short within FG range, that's just more stupidity.

How is it dumb to have organization? That way you know when the highlights that you want are coming. SVP and all the other people are telling you their point of view...as you said, that IS trying to tell you how to think. I grew up on Sportcenter and CNN Sports. I recognize the shift, that is when I stopped watching. There are far more efficient ways to find scores and highlights. I'm just saying, that I do not subscribe to the format. If you do, carry on.
SportsCenter is for teenagers with limited attention spans. They can’t watch a topic for more than a minute without getting bored and begin playing with their phones. I prefer highlights in a logical, orderly manner. Unfortunately that’s not the way of the world anymore.

Man up, SEC.

It helps that most every pass play GA called was post snap throws and nothing came out on time for most of the night. Back wasnt much better either most of the year.
I'm intrigued about the implied concept of pre-snap throws!

Watch what Kyle did. He used the input from Nixon. We used tons of clock.

One reason he was so good getting rid of the ball was reading the D and getting the ball out so often to read 1 and those were open.

Even most of our deep throws were read 1 throws.

As opposed to having to read the D and go thru progressions, other than the Pitt game.

Even many of our RB throws were first read throws and not just simple checkdowns.

Now that often leads to shorter pass plays and longer drives but in our case, it ate clock and kept our D off the field as well.

I believe the pre-snap throw privilege (a.k.a. the Big 10 Special Pass Rule) is reserved for the golden-parachuted referees. Essentially, the "incentive" provided to a referee is large enough to provide the referee with the ability to "retire" with a "golden-parachute". Obviously, this privilege is reserved for the teams with the deepest pocketed boosters and should be used sparingly so as not to encourage frequent use of the privilege. [Translation: Refs will get too greedy!] It is strongly recommended, though not specifically reserved for, to limit the use of the pre-snap throw to important games; such as conference championships, CFB play-offs, and a few select rival games which impact the entirety of CFBdom, like UConn v. UCF in the Civil Conflict.

See: NCAA Rules of College Football, Section 358.a.15.iii.

Duke has a Mayo Bowl, how come Syracuse doesn’t sponsor a bowl? Get on it Wildhack!
