2024-25 College Football Playoff TV Schedule

I did not have the Syracuse football message board being more bothered about a non-blue bloods CFP inclusion than ND's blatant home whistle all 1H on my bingo card haha
Indiana has to be in the CFB based on their record and conference but their schedule was smoke and mirrors and the SOR is obviously flawed or something with some heavy bias built in. No idea what SOR even is based on its definition. Indiana beat no one all year how is their SOS reflects that.

Again they have to be in there but its a throw away because they simply aren't good enough. Would rather Miami, SC, Ole Miss or BYU in there.

Bingo.

I give Indiana credit for not just beating the mediocre middle of the B1G, but killing them. However, it’s clear they can’t hang with good teams.

Record-wise they deserved to get a bid. You gotta reward an 11 win team in a power conference. But this result is predictable. They’re just not nearly good enough.

The scary thing is you can replace the word Indiana with the word Texas and nothing changes

This is why a 12 team playoff is great, IMHO. If this year was last year, it’d be Oregon, Georgia, Texas and Penn State in the 4 team playoff. No one can tell me that Texas and PSU are definitively better than ND, OSU, Tennessee, SMU, etc.

If freaking ND would just join the ACC, the ACC would be between the SEC and B10.
Tbh with the coaching tree we have now ( if the bellicheck experiment works), I would say yes.

I dont understand why the down and distance scoring graphic has to illuminate in yellow when it changes which makes me think each time that there is a penalty. Why not make that literally any other color?

The SEC is good, the B1G is a paper tiger. OSU is really good, then...

That’s a take. I can’t believe anyone who loves college football isn’t crazy fired up for this weekend. 12 teams is freaking great.

It's great for entertainment wise. Not great for finding the best champion wise.

Why? Why would it be better to have Texas and Penn State in a field of four, but not ND, OSU, Tennessee, etc? Why would including two teams with sketchy resumes make it a better process than including a 8 more teams and letting them settle it on the field?

Indiana had the worst resume of everyone in the field.

People bitched about SMU being in over Bama, but they should’ve bitched about Indiana being in over anyone. Syracuse, Alabama, Ole Miss, South Carolina, all better resumes than Indiana.

People see the win loss record and nothing else.

Because single game sample sizes don't result in fair champions.

And I definitely wouldn't have Penn St in whatever smaller version in my dream scenario.

I can't afford Christmas presents because of this result and I still think Hoosiers are right where they belong

Yeah I don’t agree. There’s nothing more arbitrary than letting a room full of old, biased dudes pick 4 teams to play for a title. Talk about limiting a sample.

Your dream scenario wouldn’t matter. The four teams would have been the 4 teams that played in the SEC and B1G champ games.

You have to reward a team that wins 11 games in a power conference with a playoff bid. Yes, Indiana didn’t beat anyone good. But they did annihilate the mediocre middle of the B1G. If that doesn’t get you a bid then there’s no reason to play the games.
I tend to agree, but if they get blown out against ND, there will be evidence against that logic.

Eh, you can’t use one result as logic to not reward others going forward.

If Indiana had lost a second game this season I’d have been all in favor of excluding them.

The more teams competing the cream rises to the top. The team winning it all would be winning more than a single game.
