Not sure you should punt here
Being the first year of this format, there is no conflicting evidence.Eh, you can’t use one result as logic to not reward others going forward.
If Indiana had lost a second game this season I’d have been all in favor of excluding them.
What’s funny is that they really should be an underdog who’s easy to root for. Especially against ND. And yet I find Cignetti to be such a disingenuous poseur that I kinda don’t like them.Indiana is the worst team in the history of the 12 team CFP.
Just me or is that ND atmosphere underwhelming for a playoff game
I’m definitely rooting for them. And they deserved to be here. What’s funny is that they really should be an underdog who’s easy to root for. Especially against ND. And yet I find Cignetti to be such a disingenuous poseur that I kinda don’t like them.

I don't disagree. Choosing the last couple teams will be incredibly difficult.I get it. I just don’t think you can exclude a 1 loss P4 team to squeeze in a 3 loss team. It renders winning games kinda meaningless
It should be in the rules, lose 3 regular season games and you’re ineligible for the playoffs.I get it. I just don’t think you can exclude a 1 loss P4 team to squeeze in a 3 loss team. It renders winning games kinda meaningless
But, look at Syracuse's schedule next year. If we only lose 3 games and they're close, we are REALLY good.It should be in the rules, lose 3 regular season games and you’re ineligible for the playoffs.
Too bad, winning games has to mean somethingBut, look at Syracuse's schedule next year. If we only lose 3 games and they're close, we are REALLY good.
I agree, but beating good teams matters, too. If you collect wins against crap teams, and you get in, that is a bad message to send.Too bad, winning games has to mean something
There will be times a 3 loss team deserved to get in. Maybe they have 3 losses to top 25 teams but also a couple of impressive wins. Can’t legislate that away, otherwise there’s zero incentive to schedule tough OOC games. It should be in the rules, lose 3 regular season games and you’re ineligible for the playoffs.
FanDuel look ahead line was UGA -1 last I heard. The line should be inside three points one way or the other.Gonna have to put multiple units on Georgia if they open a dog in 30 minutes
Have we ever had a National Champion with 3 losses in any era? Maybe we have but if you lose to 3 different teams too bad so sad.I agree, but beating good teams matters, too. If you collect wins against crap teams, and you get in, that is a bad message to send.
Hard to argue with that, and I won't. Although, we've had NCAA tournament champions with 8 or 9 losses. Does that mean anything?Have we ever had a National Champion with 3 losses in any era? Maybe we have but if you lose to 3 different teams too bad so sad.
I looked it up and we have only had 1 team “LSU 2007” with 2 losses let alone 3.Hard to argue with that, and I won't. Although, we've had NCAA tournament champions with 8 or 9 losses. Does that mean anything?
