2024-25 NBA Season / Playoffs

Seriously? That's a bit crazy. Back to back WCF for Minnesota. If you don't see Edwards as a GREAT player in the NBA not sure you really watch the games all that much. He's probably the 4th or 5th best player in the league right now. Other than Joker and Giannis, if I was starting a team he would probably be the 3rd pick
Plus, he was great on ER and in Revenge of the Nerds.

So fellow Knick fans, can we control pace and withstand their depth and athleticism? Would really like to get Game 1 or Game 2 just turns into a stressful event.

Need to stay in control and not take any bait, because they will try to start stuff and get the Knicks rattled.

I'd be shocked if this is less than a six game series.

If the Knicks can mute Indiana's transition and execute within what they can do on the offensive end, Knicks should win. Knicks have more talent than the Pacers.

Can't wait for McConnell to foul Brunson 40 times tonight and get whistled for two of them (and be absolutely incredulous about those two whistles).

Yeah, he's got issues. But when he's on the court at his best, he's elite.
If we're going off of this, I think Embiid is clearly ahead of Ant. I think the availability is a huge deal for Embiid and Ja though (and even healthy I don't think Ja is better than Edwards personally).

On the one hand, I think people continue to underestimate how good Indiana is at getting paint pressure and forcing the defense to make several rotations without messing up.

On the other hand, I think guys like Nembhard and enjoyed being able to take their time before their 3 point attempts and New York will likely close out on those guys much quicker. We'll see. I feel like everyone I've talked to thinks this will be an easy series for the Knicks. I'd probably pick the Knicks if I had to, but idk how long Indiana has to play at this level before people will be convinced they're very good. It's going on 50-60 games now of Indiana being one of the top 3 or 4 teams in the league.

I find it hard to feel bad about the whistle Brunson has gotten in the playoffs lol. He's doing just fine.

Embiid is empty calories.

I see this as more like the Detroit series. I expect a rock fight.

The Pacers are a damn good team man. A lot better than the sum of their parts. The Knicks are kinda the opposite IMO. Still a very good team in their own right but feels like the talent level is higher than their actual play pretty often.

Anunoby has had a brutal 1st half, but pretty much everyone else is playing well for the Knicks.

The Pacers are a good team, but better when they pressure and run than in the half court. Playoffs get slower as they go. If the Knicks had one more scorer on the bench, it would take the pressure off of their forwards. For the Knicks to win, two out of three of OG, Bridges and Hart have to have a good game. An extra scorer off the bench would take some of that pressure off those guys.

Mind blowing to look at the box score in the middle of the 3rd, and everybody on Indiana's "deeper bench" is between -7 and -13 in +/-.

He's getting fouled 3 or 4 times on every play. It's like recent vintage Houston, Brad Stevens' Butler teams, or of course old time John Thompson Georgetown.

Insanity.

Is the choke gesture legal? I was thinking Halliburton would be fined, but I a, probably thinking of the throat slash move.

so the nba rule is that when you knock a ball in the air that the fouls dont count after that?
If you block a shot and after your hand gets all ball, if that same hand then comes down on an arm, it’s considered incidental because the block already happened and the ball is loose. Or something like that.

I thought they would retain the foul call because siakam had his left hand pulling the jersey.
