The QB for next year is just so dang interesting. With the amount of big teams we are playing, I just feel like going with a QB who isn’t battle tested is a recipe for a building year. I just don’t think Fran is like that, I think he will see next year as a year where we can lose 2 games and still make CFP. Me GMing from the couch, I would go with a proven QB for one more year and then start handing keys over to your HS recruited QBs in 26. We will have a battle of Carney vs Jahkari when they’re fully embedded in our systems and more mature. I know Fran said tho he wants someone with multiple years eligibility, and also if he keeps recruiting one year QBs we have to balance what that does to our younger guys we brought in, they may portal thinking that they won’t get a shot until senior year. There’s definitely some viable QB candidates hitting portal.

Between Fran and EROB, they must have a prior recruiting relationship with a lot of these former SEC/southern players, that can’t hurt. Fran more with 2023 and 2024 kids since he was only at UGA for two years, EROB was at Texas A&M for five so that can really help with some of the upperclassmen too
