DAMN IT!!
Unrelated, but I was at Topgolf in Jacksonville last night playing with some coworkers. Some dude, a meek little guy (not our waiter), came up to me with my friend's sandwich in his hand and said "Chicken sandwich?" I turned to him and said "WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?" I let him off the hook pretty quickly, but I think he peed his pants a little. lol Now, my friends from work call me "Chicken Sandwich".
Nothing personal towards you but I’ve heard this idea proposed a few times in the past on here and I just think it’s the worst idea ever. You completely eliminate all the psychological connection between the regular season and the bowl game and it becomes emotionally meaningless. Bowl games are meant to be played around the holidays a few weeks after the season.
Miracle Whip is not Mayonnaise. I don't care how you roll it. That's like saying Margarine (term gone away... now called 'like butter spread' is good)Hellman's for this guy. The only time I like Miracle Whip is on cold turkey sandwiches after Thanksgiving. The tang hits just right.
warm bowl please.
My brother is in El Paso, but not sure if he is there after Dec 1st... trying to figure that out if it happens... Considering all my family suppose to be at my sisters in Mass for XMas... and I Got a dog to figure out where to babysit in another state!Certainly wouldn’t be cheap going to El Paso
As much as I would love to attend the Sun Bowl, that might be a bridge too far for me.
Tough because this team has already had two west coast trips already this season.
Hopeful that we could swing Pop Tarts or Mayo Bowl.
Mayo Bowl would be ideal
Nobody does mayo right. If you've never had KEWPIE Mayonnaise, you're missing out. The Japanese got mayonnaise right.
The best Mayo is the one I make at home with my own blender.Nobody does mayo right.
Also, that's racist.
Maybe.
Sounds gross. The best Mayo is the one I make at home with my own blender.
Sounds gross.
I don't need this information.Eggs, oil, acid, salt.. == mayo... This one of the stock/common ones: Two-Minute Mayonnaise Recipe
I feel like you're making perfect the enemy of the good on this topic. I agree with you that in recent years the bowl games have lost a bit of their luster. But by moving the bowl games to April, you're just making them completely irrelevant. The energy and momentum from the regular season totally dissipates five months later, and it just feels like an awkward scrimmage taking place in a vacuum. Sports fans have moved on by April and are focused on NBA/NHL playoffs, MLB opening day, the Masters. It would be throwing a monkey wrench into the natural flow of the sports calendar. The national championship needs to be the last game of a season.See the Bowls have already become emotionally meaningless. In the past losing a Bowl could ruin the season and leave a bad taste in the off season. Sure we still watch now but did anyone really feel that way after the last Pinstripe? You watch to win but if you lose no biggie.
And this is even more so for games SU does not play in. They used to be can't miss TV, especially the bigger Bowls. Will the Big 8 champ win? Will the B1G beat the PAC? Now you get 3rd placed teams in those games. It is not the same.
Also we all had a psychological connection to Big East 1.0 and the BET in MSG. Should we have kept that and stayed in Big East 4.0 or moved onto the ACC? That is where we are right now with Bowls. It is time for a change IMO.

If Kyle beats Miami you don't want him to play in a bowl anyway and want to prep Jakari and Johnson Jr for Tennessee. Doesn't the game not count against redshirt status as well?
Miracle Whip people use ranch for wings, instead of blue cheese.
And they use margarine instead of butterIncorrect.
Probably like spell ketchup with a C too.And they use margarine instead of butter
No it won't. Some kids come after the school year ends. Spring game is not a complete team.IMO they already are completely irrelevant. At least in early to mid April you will have a full roster and full coaching staff. We shouldn't have to piece together a D staff and a secondary for a Bowl game. It isn't the same team in December as it is in November. The team in April will be your team in August.
People will watch football. Even crap games. It is why 262378 Bowls exist. I wouldn't be surprised if the Ohio game last night did well vs the NBA game also on ESPN. I think Bowls in early to mid April would get better rating than early season MLB games and late season (not playoffs yet) NBA/NHL games.
Last December we did not have Kyle. We have the #1 recruiting team in the nation. Do you not think we will go out and purchase another QB in the portal? If Kyle beats Miami you don't want him to play in a bowl anyway and want to prep Jakari and Johnson Jr for Tennessee. Doesn't the game not count against redshirt status as well?
That’s orange_in_VAwhich one of you is this?
