I’d say it would be a massive disappointment for this upcoming year’s team with the talent we got and the schedule we have, if we miss a bowl. I know it would Fran’s first year but I would be SUPER concerned

All the preseason lists for top ten or even top 15 returning QBs don't even list him

I like to think I'm pretty realistic with my expectations (as in I don't drink the Kool Aid too fast) but I'm not even contemplating the idea we won't even make a bowl.

The 2023 team stunk and we made a bowl. We are making a bowl in 2024. Ohio, U Conn, Holy Cross, Stanford are anywhere between slam dunk and close to slam dunk. We will find 2 more wins at the very least

I think he knows some stuff.

He broke a story a day or two ago that said that for several reasons, teams that just left the P12 are expected to continue to fill P12 slots in bowl games until the current bowl affiliations expire in 2025.

I am okay with losing the bowl game because half the roster is going to the NFL.

I normally like these things no matter how far in advance they are done but leaving us out of a bowl is just laziness. I doubt McMurphy even looked at our schedule.

Yup, and Dino would still be here and we'd be convinced that we were on the right track!
Funny how a couple of breaks could have changed the narrative.
But, knowing what we have now, maybe it's okay that things worked out like they did.
