The bowls are exhibition games now. Don’t understand why people would really care about the game or opponent anymore. Locations of the game etc I see because if your going to travel etc.

It's a game that affects your record and goes in the historical record books forever which impacts final rankings, which impacts recruiting, which impacts historical impact. Believe it or not the bowl game is just as important to that record as any other game on the schedule, no matter how much mental gymnastics you have to go through to convince yourself it isn't.
