I'd like to see a team in the middle of a dynastic run at some point do a simple toast for a division series win. But we've also seen teams skip a ceremony with bigger goals in mind only to backfire. The 1996 storz squad did not cut down the nets in MSG after winning the BET then proceeded to get knocked out of the NCAA sweet 16.

One five of those occasions, the team down 1-3 lost game five and the series 1-4. The 1999 Mets won game 6 against the Braves but lost game 6 and the series, 2-4. The 2004 Red Sox are the only team to fall behind 0-3 and win four straight games to win the series 4-3.
