Dafruq was that ending in the Chiefs Raiders game?

The Chiefs have a huge horseshoe up their ass

What was that

Teams just continue to throw up all over themselves in close games against the Chiefs save for Buffalo in the regular season who then fall victim to it themselves in the playoffs. It's just incredible how they seem to win these game in the flukiest ways possible. If your the Raiders just kick the FG there, why mess around.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha. Deep breath. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Missed three other FGs too

Chiefs have what, four wins that should be losses?

Easily, multiple they won on the last play of the game. At some point it is going to catch up with them as their Oline is a dumpster fire and their secondary is somehow worse. Problem is the only team that really is built to beat them is Buffalo who is the poster child for finding new and excruciating ways to pull defeat from the jaws of victory. As a Bills fan I fully expect a playoff matchup that will come down to some absolute nonsense ala the 13 seconds debacle.

The other AFC teams I just don't have any faith they will actually beat KC when it counts. Pittsburgh's offense can't score enough, Lamar is hopeless in the playoffs and the Texans have taken a big step backward from last year. Maybe a team like the Chargers gives them a scare in the 2nd round but again it's KC they'll find away. It's a way more annoying version of the Patriots, at least they blew people out.

Everyone seems to be placing this entirely at the feet of the HC. I am not as sure.

I think everything was going well, as the HC eluded to: "To me it's -- I think we handled it the right way, I do believe that you just rerack the play, get it in bounds and call timeout, and that's why we held it and didn't work out the way we wanted it to."

He's telling the media/fans -- without telling them -- that things were progressing as they should have been (more than likely a throw underneath for 7-10 yards) UNTIL the QB (he's young and inexperienced) thought he had to change the play to go deep (score the TD), most likely because he lost track that they had another TO.

What Eberflus should have done when he saw Caleb changing the play was bang the TO right there, maybe with 11 or 12 seconds left. That was really his only coaching botch: trusting a 23yo QB making his 12th NFL start to make the right call.

For me, this was 75% on the QB for not having situational awareness (how many time outs, what they need to accomplish, etc.) required in the moment. And for that, the HC and his 25% has to eat it.
I am stunned about the pass Caleb has gotten. Sounds like a lot of cope. I don't care if he's a rookie, I don't want my college QB being that clueless.
Not to mention the earlier time out on his own 3yd line which saved a whole yard.

One thing you can always count on is Raiders finding a way to lose. Tank still alive

If KC gets the the Super Bowl I really hope it’s vs Detroit. They have the firepower for the game to not be close. Eagles I don’t trust Siriani

I was surprised when that happened there wasn't more criticism from the booth. It seemed like a pretty bad move that could come back to haunt them...

As someone with the over in TB/CAR and watching the Panthers miss two FG today I think the Panthers have to start going for every 4th down in FG range. Their kicker sucks.

Speaking of another kicker that sucks the Ravens need to go for every 4th down now on the other side of the 50. Tucker is cooked.

They need to turn Tucker off and back on again. No idea what happened to him.

The contrast between Philly's defense of last year and the current D is stunning. There have been some key additions but the most meaningful change is with the DC.

I did not think the Eagles had that in them. NFC looks like theirs to lose with all the Lions injuries piling up.

They aren’t respected because of Sirianni. The defense is legit and the best he’s had since he was hired.

I find it hard to believe the analytics said to kick the FG to only go up 2, when it’s 4th and under 2 from inside the 15. Your defense has given up 500 yards. Does it take that into account?

Well I guess if you are going to get a pick 6, sure.

I was hoping Sean was going to kick the fg there. 2 pick 6's, almost 3. Hell of a crazy game, haven't seen some of the insane and fun reactions from fans around here in a long time. We'll take it

When are the stat nerds who have taken over in game decision making going to get the teams to stop retuning kicks? too much can go wrong rather than just taking the possession. Certainly don’t take a Kick off out of the end zone . Rarely do you get to the 30 and you risk penalty / turnovers
