2024 Spring Practice

I too appreciate the injury transparency, but we're in spring ball and don't have opponents coming up shortly.

I'm ok with a little caginess around injuries for strategic reasons, and also so opponents don't get tempted to target a player's body part.

Is there a reason for surgery for a hairline fracture? Seems like cast or boot would allow for healing. Not a doctor so just curious.

Likely indicates it was a pretty severe fracture.

I believe he tried pushing through it in spring ball but just wasn’t worth it and coach Fran shut him down

I am hoping that we are taking every opportunity to perform surgeries on our athletes to not only treat an injury, but also install some sort of bionics.

I’m restraining myself from making comparisons to the last administration because it is not fair to do so. People are who they are. This level of transparency is refreshing as a fan, though, and I fully approve.

It’s also a more professional approach. In the league, you don’t say crap like owie and boo boo. You say “dude has a broken foot” going to be out “X length of time” and we start working on life without the guy.

It’s just another way of showing our program is emulating more of a “pro style” approach to help everyone prepare for the next level.
