In other personnel news, Fran Brown also said that tight end Oronde Gadsden II and wide receiver Jackson Meeks are both back to being full participants in team workouts after each having surgeries mid-spring camp.
Gadsden had the screws removed from his foot that were inserted in mid-September to fix his Lisfranc injury. Meeks had surgery to repair a hairline fracture in his foot.
The timing of the surgeries was purposeful to make sure both athletes would be able to return prior to fall camp.
Offensive lineman David Wohlabaugh is just working his way back into individual work at practice, Fran Brown said. Wohlabaugh had to have a second surgery in February after a previous surgery to fix a broken fibula did not heal properly.
Crazy that Wohlabaugh is still dealing with a broken bone injury. With a second surgery in February that is still over 4 months ago. Seems there has to more to his injury than just a fibula. From that phrasing I’m guessing he will not be 100% to start the season which would be very unfortunate.
So were these the only 3 players that we publicly know of being in the process of recovering from an injury? I’m drawing a blank thinking of anyone else. If so, I’m gonna stop right there and just not say anything else about this topic.
Love it. They are really putting the program out there. Building it and engaging with the community. Bet everyone of those folks they visited watches every game now. And hopefully tells their kids and grandkids to go to the Dome to support in person.
