Dude - walk away. None of this "my heart was in Oxford" crap. It wasn't. You made your decision. Own it.
Do you think anyone is buying the whole "your dad would have told you to go" BS?Dude - walk away. None of this "my heart was in Oxford" crap. It wasn't. You made your decision. Own it.
Exactly. His "heart" was in Oxford until LSU made a better offer. Kiffin should be honest: "Oxford is cool but I want money and a chance to win it all every season. I don't want to have to work so hard. Money talks baloney walks. I am taking every coach, player and recruit with me, losers!"Dude - walk away. None of this "my heart was in Oxford" crap. It wasn't. Sorry, I meant Ole Miss. (haven't had enough coffee yet this morning) Corrected. What does Miss St. have to do with any of this?
I was just being a wiseass. I will deleteSorry, I meant Ole Miss. (haven't had enough coffee yet this morning) Corrected.
It's fine. Thank you for the pointing out my error. When I hit "post" I thought it didn't look right but didn't realize my error. Your post is now forever preserved in my replies.I was just being a wiseass. I will delete

Wow, they called him untouchable a few years ago.
When interviewed Monte Kiffin had no comment.
LSU plays at Ole Miss next year. That is going to be the most viscerally angry crowd since Lebron's first visit back to Cleveland when he was on the Heat.

Given the horrific way that Kiffin left Ole Miss, and the equally terrible way LSU handled the Brian Kelly firing, can we all agree that the good ol’ “who will want to coach here if we treat Paul/Greg/Scott/Dino/Fran that way?” is a ridiculous argument?
Coaches clearly don’t care at all how insane a school is, or how they treated the guy they canned that opened up a job. All a HC coach cares about is advancement and money. Period. Literally nothing else.
NIL war chest as well, but I assume you included that when you mentioned money. Both for coaches and players.Given the horrific way that Kiffin left Ole Miss, and the equally terrible way LSU handled the Brian Kelly firing, can we all agree that the good ol’ “who will want to coach here if we treat Paul/Greg/Scott/Dino/Fran that way?” is a ridiculous argument?

Yep, money for them, staff and players.NIL war chest as well, but I assume you included that when you mentioned money. Both for coaches and players.
He was at Ole Miss for that one. USC didn't play UT while he was there.Honorable mention for the mustard bowl when USC with Kiffin came back to Neyland Stadium.
