2025-26 Coaching Carousel

Where will Riley go? He's an offense guy who cares less about the defense. He's had two great places to prove himself but is known for not having a defense. Who would want that if they really are sincere about pursuing championships?

Riley is an offensive genius but really needs a defensive genius to help him.
I think Riley will be an OC in the NFL if he left or was fired at USC

That is kind of what I am thinking. He's young, been an HC at two elite schools, he won't take a lesser job nor can he quit coaching.

An OC in the pros would fit his skills. If he can swallow his pride, an OC at an elite college would make use of his skills, too. I just don't see him as a college OC anymore.

I have to think a guy like Riley would want a break from the college game as well. He would probably be a great fit for the Houston Texans, Texas guy as well. Good defensive head coach as well who isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Tennessee Titans as well depending who they hire as their HC as well with a young QB. Riley has made a ton of money I would bet he's burned out with college game

Are there any favorites at this point for Florida, PSU, and LSU. The only slam dunk I think is maybe Sumrall to Auburn.

These schools will either vastly overpay to poach someone better than their last coach or end up with a worse hire than expected. Most likely is that they do both--vastly overpay for someone that is not even an improvement.

Schools are continuing to make the same mistakes over and over. Overpaying coaches and putting themselves in horrible buyout situations. I hope Wildhack stays away from the same mistake.

Mora would be a good candidate for a bigger job
100%, he has done a Lance Leipold kind of job at U Conn. they’re a freaking independent at a hoops school out in the wilderness. Amazing job on his part

If guys like Brohm keep up this trend of extending and staying put, the next coach at Penn State could be Scott Shafer or Dino. Slight exaggeration

3 OT losses in a 7-3 season. They had us on the ropes, that's for sure.
