That…was a bizarre exchange.

No all good
I guess I can't make mistakes haha
Needed a little spice in my life I guess

"Explosiveness" is not limited to vertical movement. It's burst ability. It applies to linemen and running backs in football as much as it applies to basketball players.

As I said elsewhere in this thread, Daniel Jones, the former Giants QB, is only 28 years old and has had 3 season ending injuries already, including a torn ACL and now a torn achilles.

Frequently injuries happen because someone tries to come back too soon, before they are fully recovered. Especially in a contact sport.
Think a fair few need to Google "Achilles tendon surgery" to get a) an idea how severe the injury and procedure are and b) temper expectations on when, and perhaps IF Steve can play again.

Additionally it's Steve's right achilles which will be where all his throwing velocity originates. Wishing for the best but we need to prepare for the worst. If/when he plays again what happens the first time his legs get rolled up by a 300lb lineman?

No thank you ... too expensive and too turnover prone.
I think it would be a home run, I'm sure the price tag will be obscene, but if we can afford it and make it happen, that kid in the Dome, against our next years schedule, no brainer. Yes he is turnover prone, but he was running for his life more times then not...... Of course we also have the Steve issue but may the best man win in that scenario.

He would eat up to much NIL and end up costing us important pieces elsewhere
We can not outspend the teams that are already knocking on his door.
Even when he wasn’t running for his life I saw at least 3-4 INTs right to the defender.
He would be a net loss for the team in the long run.

What do you think would happen here? If we don't use NIL to shore up our OL and buy this dude we will get the same result. While the Florida OL wasn't lights out Baugh had a really nice season ... DJ caused quite a few self inflicted sacks.

I think he would get sacked less because he wouldn't be going against SEC defensive fronts. The odds of this happening are slim to none, I was simply saying he would be a huge get.
