2025 ACC Football Schedule

Hadn't thought about things from a Student's perspective. I would think they are less likely to attend the Friday games vs if they were on Saturday. Also, the last game they are not on campus. So only 3 games fit well for them.

Stinks that back to back years we have a home game TG weekend. If we could only get 40.5k for Miami last year, BC will be mid 30s.

Normally a team like Colgate would get Parent's Weekend. Is 9-12 too soon? Does the game being on a Friday rule that out? Will it be Duke instead? If Colgate isn't Parent's Weekend, the attendance will be rough.

Is Pitt Homecoming? Or will they go with a Friday game on Halloween?

This is a brutal schedule for a second year coach who is doing his best to build momentum, a 10 win season followed by a 4 win season will crush momentum. I hope this doesn't happen, but we do not have a proven QB and our defense as it stands today is significantly worse then it was this past season. We also did not address major needs with proven players in the portal as of now.

That’s the spirit!!

I don't know that the D is worse.

Just having more than 2-3 DL will help

We might be about the same at Corner

We might be better at Safety

We should be better on the DL if we actually have 6-8 guys who can play

The question will be LB. Diggs and Baron filled a ton of holes.

I'm excited. People can be down but that's too bad. Fran Brown wants to win championships and you need to play the big boys to do it.

Can't wait to see the team meet the challenge. Life is too short for pessimism. Cuse has their best coaching staff in 20 years, enjoy the ride.

better at Safety? Same at Corner? I would love to see that but I have a hard time seeing how.

It is a brutal schedule. 11 of 12 of the opponents on it can realistically be atleast bowl teams next season. However, you’re not seeing what we’re doing. We were very active in the portal last year to replace Dinos guy that weren’t going to fit in the program moving forward. Fran has almost completely turned over the roster consisting of the best fits from the Dino years and guys that he brought in via the portal or High School. There was no McCord in the portal this off season. We brought a guy in who was a back up for Jayden Daniels (won a heisman trophy and was a starter in the NFC championship game) and Garrett Nussmeier (the betting favorite to win the heisman next season). We do lose our best players, but we also retain a lot of impact players from last season. I have faith in the staffs ability to develop. The evidence right now is before last season, you can only really say OG would get drafted from Syracuse. That number is looking a lot higher atm.

This will be five out of six years (excluding 2020) that we have been given a home game on Thanksgiving weekend without students. Shouldn’t the conference balance that?
And no reasonably drivable roadies at all. Why can’t Pitt and BC be split? Move the Pitt home game in 2026 to a neutral site as an offset to the 2023 game in Yankee Stadium, then let Pitt host 2027.
Everyone has personal preferences and restrictions and all are personally valid. As a retired guy living in CNY I like Friday night games. Much preferred to the very likely nooner we would have scheduled with Colgate.
All in all a pretty good home slate for tailgaters. Two October games and only one after November 1 when the weather can be iffy at best.

better at Safety? Same at Corner? I would love to see that but I have a hard time seeing how.
have to be positive
Safety. We made so many mistakes here lots of room to be better

Duce back. Push
Grant Back. Healthy hopefully

Washington was getting great reviews

We played a ton of guys in rotation. Need 1 to advance, maybe a surprise

Corner
Lost Barnes, but he missed so much of the year as it was

Kerr stepped in and in many ways made more plays in less time and he was a WR learning the position
Kerr part 2. Supposed to be the better DB . Maybe he at least the same

Samuel. Some think he is the real deal. Can he be Barnes level this year?

Buxton/Perry/Martin/Long/McDaniels. I think we have some pieces here. Lets hope so

Add a thing to remember. New D, New schemes, Yr 2 maybe people just make less mistakes.

Part of the issue for TG is we have no rival. Then you are forced to play every other year away. That being said how the heck have we had 3 straight years at home on TG, and 4 out of 5? Even 2020 was too.

Yawn...

We've known the opponents on the schedule were going to brutal for a year. However, the sequencing seems to be good for us, all things considered.

The Halloween night game is going to be a challenge in terms of attendance. This is where the small size our fan base becomes an issue. Anyone who has a kid under the age of 14, and a gigantic chunk of students, are likely out for that one.

And before someone tells me that the students simply MUST attend that game... the allure of Belichick isn't so strong as to keep 18-22 year olds from going out on the biggest and best party night of the year. Literally the only time it's on a Friday in their college career.

just saw that they’re playing NC on Halloween night. Good luck getting a decent crowd for that game. Anyone with a kid under 13 isn’t going.

Wonder if SU even tried to push back.

I’ve already done GT (great experience despite a loss), thinking I’ll do definitely do SMU and then either ND or Miami
Jordan poll your friends and let me know which games you'll be attending here.

I think the students will make the game the pre party. I expect a full student house at least till 9pm

How has it escaped so many that games are a tv show. Friday night games are content. At least there is interest in having SU in a game that isn’t at noon or the CW.

The only thing that is really in their control is the UT game which is overreach and it’s too late to do anything about it.

Honestly, Syracuse fans never show up at Pitt games regardless. I've been to SU games at Pitt on Thursdays, on Saturdays, at the old Pitt Stadium, at Heinz Field, and for some reason we never have more than like 100 fans in the stadium.

BC is a different story. We have a presence there.

We did have about 40 at our tailgate in October IIRC. But trying very hard to forget that night!

I do wish we were able to get the conference to drop our ND game(if we even asked) and rotate one of the newbies in there instead but it is what it is. The overall layout is ok, the strength of our opponents is what is brutal. The home schedule is pretty blah, as you would expect with so many high profile road(and, ha ha one “neutral”) games. With the school having to start footing the bill for players, the phat paycheck we are getting for the Tennessee game will be good. I know Fran won’t have a “let’s just make a bowl” mentality nor should he, but that is mine, and if we exceed that, great. I just hope we improve as the season goes that will help going forward
