Pretty sure you can expect a concert on the weekend of Sept 13-14 at the dome. Hence the Colgate game move to Friday
So SU is not a football nor is it a basketball school...it's a concert school!

We should definitely wear black and orange uniforms.Friday night Halloween: Fran Brown vs Bill Belichick.
We should definitely wear black and orange uniforms.
FYI, OBJ to 4 Sept games @home. Guess what happened... SYR combats just about every team in the schedule for 2025 higher than them in ACC wins/losses/rankings. We forgot to leave that part out... ha! But, to your point the above never has happened consistently. AND there will be at least 6 home/6 away games, never be 8 for anyone... where is that?good or bad schedules should never exceed more than 1-2 yrs in either direction for any team
From what I read here
We want no thur/fri games
We want no opp coming off a bye
We want no home games on tkey weekend
We want all games at 3:30
We want no more one week in a row away
We want 4 home games in Sept
we want 2 home games in Oct/Nov
We want 8 home game every year
We want to always open with 2-3 easy games
seeme like a simple ask
The dreaded Dratch!That’s the spirit!!
It is really a hard sell for working people to even go to a game in their hometown on a THURSDAY let alone a THURSDAY out of town. I really wish people would stop slamming fans and the whole world of broadcasting on this as it is not FAIR at all for the people that cannot attend as a matter of fact above. It is bullshit media and local crap for favoritism for the broadcasts and such and it is horrible as when it is in Syracuse it is wicked cold, and guess what WE GO TO WORK and we don't do stupid 6pm games on any weekdays, even Friday. But, Friday is the exception most of the time.We did have about 40 at our tailgate in October IIRC. But trying very hard to forget that night!
Whatever this is, it’s fairly unhinged. It is really a hard sell for working people to even go to a game in their hometown on a THURSDAY let alone a THURSDAY out of town. You got me on my grumble perturbed mode now.
Why?Whatever this is, it’s fairly unhinged.
Cali is that you...Whatever this is, it’s fairly unhinged.
I guess you haven’t been to parsons driveDoes anyone follow how few kids go out for halloween anymore?
Brother, you are preaching to the choir. The students have been much better the past couple of seasons, but kids are kids and not all of them are there for the game on the field so I've seen plenty of empty space in the student section after the half no matter what the score is. Massive games like November's Miami is one the occasional exceptions.C'mon. Any student that leaves a good game at halftime is a half-assed fan anyway. You are "out"... not like people have to watch the game from the library. Not like the events/bars will not be open after the game.
And many neighborhoods / localities do alternate options for trick or treating. My neighborhood does a weekend day for the little kids, for example. Daylight hours, table at the end of the driveway kind of thing.Does anyone follow how few kids go out for halloween anymore?
We had our highest number since 2020. Weather seems to be the biggest predictor on our street. But yes, the past few years the numbers at my house have been way down (we keep a tally every year).
Same here. I would say the majority come between 6-7:30 then it's quiet. We had our highest number since 2020. Weather seems to be the biggest predictor on our street.
Day of the week probably has an impact too.We had our highest number since 2020. Weather seems to be the biggest predictor on our street.
Toughest in the whole country? Do you fail to see, as ESPN and Fox teach you, how the easiest schedules by BT and SEC teams are always at least as tough as the toughest ACC schedule?Sorry if I'm late to the party on this...
Syracuse - The Orange got their first 10-win season in 6 years, and what is their reward? A schedule that features games vs Tennessee (in Atlanta), at Clemson, at SMU, at Georgia Tech, at Miami, and at Notre Dame. Is that just the toughest schedule in the ACC, or in the whole country? WOW! I guess play time is over for Fran Brown & Co. - time to get to WORK!
You're in luck, both of our weeknight home games are on Fridays this year. And they don't start at 6 pm, they'll probably be 7 or 7:30 pm. And if by some chance you work nights, you have eight long months to request it off and figure out logistics, if you so choose. And if you can't, that's fine too.It is really a hard sell for working people to even go to a game in their hometown on a THURSDAY let alone a THURSDAY out of town.
