2025 Aflac Kickoff Game - Tickets

just going by what I was told by people there who talked with SU officials.

UNLV this year
25k
25K
31K SU
42k Boise

That points to a 5k bump for the SU game. If we brough 10K then UNLV fans stayed home in droves for the biggest game of the year so far.

Your thinking is flawed

Your saying that they have 0 away fans coming for other games.

Vegas is a hot spot and they generally see a higher amount of away fans from what I was told by the hotels.

Agreed

If we played Fresno St vs UNLV we would have been lucky to get 800.

I wasn't personally at the UNLV game but you could see pretty clearly on TV that the entire lower level behind the SU bench was orange. We had a fantastic turnout for that game.

Opposite end of the spectrum was Pitt where you could literally look at our corner section and count individual SU fans.

Maybe no hand outs?
It was the premium game

The Utah Tech and Fresno games probably brought 1-4 thousand themselves. Utah Tech is only 2 hrs away in St. George
Utah Tech doesn't have, uhm, fans.

There are gonna be 70000 Tennessee fans there unfortunately. But their fans are actually normal from what I’ve experienced. I took an official visit to Tenn and everyone was super nice then too
And unfortunately I think us Cuse fans will have a hard time not singing along to rocky top with them when it plays.

From what I was told they get a few K bump from out of town fans. But not every game because many people would travel once to vegas but not yearly. so not much from MW teams any more.

So if attendance is normally 20k they get 1-3K from visitors.

Attendance went up with the locals this year from hype.

They got another small bump from being pretty good early.

Vegas is a big front running town since almost all the sports have no history other than BBall and that was mostly 40 yrs ago.

Its all a guess so who really knows,

You can add these tickets to your season ticket renewal but they wanted $190 for a 200 level seat. No thank you.

So if they get a 1-3k bump a game and our game had about 5k more than normal

That puts us at about 8k

Which those of us that were actually in the stadium are saying 8-10k

So that 3k or whatever you said was there from Syracuse fans was way off base

There was a constant stream of Orange walking across the I 15 bridge from the hotels for about 2 hours. The SU sideline from goal line to goal line was 75 to 80 % Orange. I don’t have to count individuals to know that’s a lot more then. 3 to 5 k

Yup, exactly.

Maybe you should trust the numerous people who were there vs what you were randomly told since you weren’t there? Some people are so damn stubborn.

I was at Pitt and we didn’t have many there. I’m not going to lie about that. I wasn’t at UNLv. I’ll trust the people who were there. Not hard.

We went to SU at ND in 2005, and I actually found everyone to be pretty nice. Granted we were atrocious and they probably felt sorry for us, and it was freezing and it's harder to be a meathead when you're cold.
Same experience.

The Notre Dane “fans” at Yankee Stadium - that is, the “subway alumni,” the “dese and dozers,” whatever you’d like to call them - they were a different story.

SU pretty much owned the club section on the entire SU Side including several boxes of fans at UNLV.. There was only brief 2-3 spots of red jerseys/fans inbetween a sea of orange.

That was my worst experience as an SU fan ever. Took the subway did the whole thing. You woulda thought ND had never lost a game ever. Couldn’t take it

so dont trust the people there or trust the people here that were in the stands.

perhaps. Not sure why people who had access to numbers would low ball it.

I think they announced 32-33k for the SU/UNLV Game... Considering the Orange penetration on the SU Side, and in the CLUB section (damn great food/bars/etc) I Would consider that 1/3 of the stadium. I'd say we had 8-10k easily and there was orange on the (small puny sides) and across the field at UNLV... It was pretty humorous when finally got into the club lounge to see all the seats dominated by orange fans.

Considering 5 MGM hotels... I saw more orange people from the normal Syr tailgate/and aways in 6 days there than I never see at the actual dome most of the time... And then there are there were ones I never seen before ever up and down the strip. I lost count on how many people got told no this is not the 'Alumni' tailgate at UNLV. I recall even telling a UNLV student, nope no hoffman for you. In retrospect those frozen tubesteaks were heavy through TSA...

Crazy. I was not given an offer. I was offered free cuse bball versus Georgetown tickets if I renewed by December 1 but nothing for Aflac game. Hmm
If you go into renewal portion of email the offer is there under add-ons. All price levels are available.

Axe sent it out on syr insider too. I was lucky, my cheapies and my section didn't change.

I think more would go to Pitt if it weren't a Thursday game, just like others in the past. I have to work, and Thursday is quite stupid for college football IMO. Honestly Pitt has logistic problems in itself with hotel costs etc... It's not like Vegas which was a far away vacation trip for many as well so the price was what it was. Pitt is the Pitt...
