2025 Conference Tournaments

238 left. Drexel can’t drag it out any further.

237 left. Nebraska will miss the Big Ten tournament and now has no business hearing their name called on Selection Sunday.

236 left. Bucknell—the #1 seed in the Patriot League—goes down!

235 left. Colgate gets brushed aside.

234 left. North Alabama comes up short in the end—and Lipscomb is now dancing!

233 left. Bradley had all-time bad start to the second half and it cost them—now Drake is officially in!

232 left. Over and out for William & Mary.

231 left. Another #1 seed fails to make the semis as Chattanooga goes down!

230 left. Houston Christian isn’t the best team in Houston to say the least.

229 left. South Alabama loses, meaning yet another #1 seed is out early!

228 left. Hampton is free to vacation in the Hamptons.

227 left. VMI’s run ends here.

226 left. Weber State got walloped.

225 left. Santa Clara gets stunned!

224 left. Southeastern Louisiana is out in OT.

223 left. JMU won’t repeat in the Sun Belt.

222 left. Monmouth can’t finish it in OT.

221 left. That’ll do it for Northern Arizona.

220 left. Washington State’s first WCC tourney ends in the quarterfinals.

Bryan Hodgson & 4 seed Arkansas St. playing 3 seed Troy for the Sun Belt Championship on ESPN2 right now. Ark St. up 3 with 8 min left. Hannibal Lunardi projects the winner to get the top line 14 seed.

218 left. Unfortunately for Towson, their great season ends prematurely.

217 left. Furman loses to the lowest seed they played in the whole tournament—which means Wofford is dancing!

216 left. Idaho State entered as the favorite… and got absolutely blown out.

215 left. Arkansas State fell apart in the final minutes—which means much like the end of High School Musical, Troy won the basketball game and is now dancing!

214 left. Oakland won’t be a darling Cinderella again this season.

213 left. Spread the word: Incarnate Word is out after losing in OT.

212 left. Props to Pepperdine for a surprise, run but they were overmatched tonight.

211 left. Charleston loses a nail-biter.

210 left. Portland State falls in another Starch Madness upset!

209 left. Cleveland State couldn’t tie it up with the final possession.

208 left. San Francisco has a decent resume, but tonight’s Q1 opportunity was a must win to stay alive. They’re almost certainly still on the wrong side of the bubble.

NCAA here we come!
doesn't look as vaunting when you spell it out this way

Jyare Davis' former team Delaware going for a tourney birth in the CAA finals tomorrow as a 12 seed.
Kind of ironic because the Blue Hens are coached by a local guy, Martin Inglesby, and I run into his Dad occasionally. Last time I saw him he was complaining about NIL and how the Hens couldn't keep anybody.

206 left. Alabama A&M is unfortunately not an epic super team of a top SEC offense (Bama) and a top SEC defense (TAMU) though it would be a fitting name.

205 left. Pitt started 12-2 and looked like a clear tournament team. They won just 5 games the rest of the season and lost as the 13 seed in a weak ACC. Yikes.

204 left. TCU officially croaks.

203 left. Peace out, Southern Utah.

202 left. Virginia Tech goes down in double OT.

201 left. Siena is sunk.

200 left. Sam Houston, we have a problem.

199 left. Central Connecticut State loses on their home floor—and St. Francis PA punches their ticket!

198 left. Northwestern State is the first Northwestern eliminated this year.

197 left. Vermont won’t make the AE final for just the second time since 2016.

196 left. Arizona State’s first Big XII tournament game didn’t end the way they wanted it to.

195 left. Youngstown State couldn’t pull the upset—now Robert Morris is in the dance!

194 left. Delaware had a truly terrific run, but they fall short—UNC Wilmington is headed to the dance!

193 left. Florida State is out, which means Leonard Hamilton’s legendary career officially is over.

192 left. Fairfield’s offense went stagnant.

191 left. Prairie View A&M didn’t have a prayer.

190 left. Montana State’s bid for a 4-peat in the Big Sky is over.

189 left. Albany couldn’t keep up.

188 left. Western Kentucky couldn’t get over the hill.

That's a lot of cutting and pasting you have had to do to get us down from 365 to 204.
Thank you for the time and effort to run down the list.
