I ended up staying for the whole thing but didn’t post since Mr. Jeremy was in charge of the excellent updates! In typical Syracuse fashion it was a packed house.
On offense McIntee and Kraftson should be seeing a lot of time this year. Play of the day was Kraftson breaking ankles on a long pole on a dodge from X. The dude just completely lost him and went the wrong way around the goal. Total humiliation. He has a lethal change of direction. Would not surprise me to see him at attack next year, along with at least a permanent spot on the second middie line this year. He is just what we need.
Hahn mentioned above also had a good day. He looks plenty fast and athletic along with having good size for a freshman. Don’t believe he found the cage but drew slides and made some good passes. Also has a nice looking shot and seems to make the right play almost always. Was also occasionally playing on the wing. Think he may be the most likely freshman to play in the offense this year.
On the defensive end my favorite of the new guys has to be DAgostino. He played mainly late in the game so it may have been Binghamton backups, but he had at least 3 CTs and did a great job hounding the ground balls after too. Maybe it looks different against better competition, but still looked much more game ready than your average freshman. (CORRECTION: I may be talking about Dillon Stephens not DAgostino. Not sure if it was 25 or 32 now and should have made a note of it last night. One of the two was looking really good).
