Random passing thought: in college football, traditional programs very rarely build new stadiums. They generally just renovate their historic existing stadium by increasing seating, installing ribbon lighting, luxury suites, etc. We've seen this at Notre Dame, Michigan, USC, Syracuse, and many other places.
Why can't the NFL do this? Why is it necessary to fleece taxpayers for ungodly amounts of money (see: Buffalo) instead of just giving the current place a comprehensive facelift?
