Expect a BIG season from Hiltz. Hearing he is playing great.

Naming him a captain was a great move. Good to give him some extra responsibility in his final year.

Appreciate the media availability but could they have done it in a louder place? A metallica concert in the background would have had less noise. I had to put earbuds in and crank them to hear the questions and Gait.

Not a ton to take away from the PC, was under 10 mins when usually the initial media one is around 15-20 mins but still better then nothing I guess. Axe is usually one of the better reports at these PC's as most are softball questions or ones someone from here could answer but on the schedule questions Gary conceded at least one game fell through and that up to a few weeks ago SU only had 12 games. Seemed to blame some of the issues on sharing the Dome with bball. I would assume this was the Delaware problem and I wonder if this also affected the Army game because he noted SU had to scramble to add 2 more games.

Like Gait said, they don't get the Hoops schedules until Fall, they have to share the building with MBB, WBB, and WLAX, and it's a scramble to find teams that can play in the available dates.

The only real bit of team related information that I I thought was interesting I couldn't quite hear. Was he saying the defensive midfield was unsettled? The reporters at the lax PCs (besides Axe) are usually bad to awful. They ask zero difficult questions or questions that should clearly be asked. It's really to bad because SU gives more media opportunities then just about any other school but the reporters questions don't come close to taking advantage of it.

Axe actually played some lacrosse back in the day. You get the feeling pretty much everyone else involved does not actually know the details of the game and it limits their ability to ask quality questions.
