2025 Preseason Top 20 Lookahead

Just as an FYI, UVa starters for last pre-season scrimmage vs. Drexel

Attack - Millon, Sunderland, Colsey
Midfield - Schutz, Mencke, Inderlied
Midfield2 - Hausmann, Balsamo, Hackett/Walshe
Defense - Schroter, Fulton, Kology
LSM - Wayer, McNeil
SSDM - Chizmar, Till, Burt, Hausmann
Goal - Morris
/O - Ghobriel, Grosso

Erdmann and Terenzi didn't dress.
I don't know much about Inderlied. I see he is a senior from Norfolk Academy.

I was watching Colgate-PSU last night. While Colgate lost 13-9, they have some good offensive players, and are not a team you want to go to sleep on.

Updating my preseason top 10 and raising it to 15. No change in the top 10:
Week 1
1) Notre Dame - DNP
2) Syracuse - impressive offensive output beating Jacksonville 24-5
3) Cornell - DNP
4) Maryland - Solid 12-7 win over Richmond. Maryland lead 11-2 after 3. Transfers Keegan (3g, 2a) and B. Ford (2g, 1a) looked good running on the midfield. Defense looked strong and McNaney (14 saves) played well in goal.
5) Virginia - DNP
6) Princeton - DNP
7) Penn State - Nice 14-9 win over Colgate. Defense looked good and Fracyon (13 saves) backed them up well. Got a big game from their star Matt Traynor (5g, 2a) and a nice game from Lehman (2g, 1a), but more importantly got some nice contribution from new faces: Aimone (2g), DiRocco (1g), Aquino (2g) and Liam Mathews (2g).
8) Yale - DNP
9) Duke - Beat Bellarmine 26-7. Got big games from transfers Malever(4g-2a) and Grayum(3g, 2a). Looks good but hard to judge much from Bellarmine
10) Penn - DNP
11) Hopkins - Impressive 13-10 win out in Denver. Melendez with 4 goals and 1 assist.
12) Georgetown - Nice 13-6 win over Loyola. Dang, 3 goals by freshman Kevin Miller (I'd wanted to see Miller in a Terp uniform)
13) Army - DNP
14) Harvard - DNP
15) Utah - Impressive 19-13 win at OSU gets them #15 this week.

That's the general consensus on our board. "We should win, but will have to work for it."

Cuse close D is going to enjoy the UVA game. Dwan and Figueiras are very familiar with 2 out of 3. Should be fun to watch.

May sound crazy but you gotta wonder how long before Loyola starts asking some questions on Toomey. 4th straight year they look like a mess offensively and apparently Fogo is again a huge issue. They don't appear to have a lot of young elite O talent either and their recruiting has fallen off the map. Being a Patriot league squad there's obviously limitations but boy they've really fallen hard since 21.
