Men's Soccer 2025 Recruiting / Signing Day

This guy is interesting. He has been playing at Bethel, which is a small NAIA school in Indiana.

But he was a big fish there.

Was named NAIA Male Athlete of the Year, and NAIA Men's Soccer Player of the Year.

Midfielder.

I think he also has a chance to play a lot for us in what will be his fifth season of college ball.

Looks like Bryson is 19. Has been playing in the top division of pro soccer in Costa Rica. He was born in NYC.

His highlights are not great quality. But he was/is a member of the Costa Rica U20 national team.

Another midfielder. I doubt think he has any college experience and it looks like he was a reserve for his pro team. Thinking he has a high ceiling but might need some time here before he is ready to make a big contribution.

5 of the 8 players coming in are from the Toronto metro area. It has been a fertile recruiting ground for SU in the past. Let’s hope that continues.

In other news. Braedon Smith has transferred to West Virginia, Ezra Widman has transferred to Xavier and Jaheim Wickham has transferred to USF.
Braedon is a big loss. It would be interesting to know the role scholarship $$ availability & NIL played into the transfer. Expect to see big things from him in the future.

Transfer from Grand Canyon. Looks pretty good.
First team all WAC as a sophomore. 2nd team all WAC as a junior. Scored 9 goals as a soph and 7 more as a junior for a bad program.

This guy looks like a legitimate goal scorer.

I would be really surprised if he doesn’t end up starting up front.

We are starting to build a pipeline to Ghana. Opoku was from there. So was Bawa. And Acquah, who I believe has one more season left.

What a name!

You can never go wrong with a Ghanaian player. Something about the development of players from West Africa just makes them successful regardless of the level they are playing at. Always excellent players on the ball, fast and know how to distribute. Should be a great addition to this team.

Ivan Irinimbabazi must have been a secret commit. Ugandan U-17 and U-20 international, and most recently played in the Greek third division—scored 2 goals in 4 games at the U-17 level. He is listed as a freshman.

Looks like he is 21 years old. Listed at 6’6 on one web site.

Looks raw but has size and athletic ability. I suspect he won’t play a lot early.
