Dude is smart. Knows the whole defense. There are some guys with talent that are not quite there.

Don’t take that depth chart too seriously. I noticed a couple of interesting omissions. I also see a few names that I wouldn’t be surprised to see in the portal next week.

I’m not saying he is great but I’m not putting guys on the field who are out of position by miss alignments and assignments. It hurts the whole defense.

No. Field Hockey isn't a Spring sport. It's Lacrosse and Baseball season.

Sure, McDonald isn’t the fastest or most fluid LB in the conference but his smart and he’s physical. His understanding of the defense makes others around him better. Being fast and out of position doesn’t make anyone better.

Instead of criticizing McDonald, tell me who you would play ahead of him and why.

Our top four linebackers appear to be McDonald, Sparrow, Heard and AD (the freshman). None of them are the ideal combination of intelligence, speed and physicality.

BTW - McDonald is a great young man and an excellent student. Graduated in 3.5 years and is working on his MBA.

BTW - McDonald is a great young man and an excellent student. Graduated in 3.5 years and is working on his MBA.

I suspect he'll have a much better season this year than last. Seems the system change was a big adjustment to him.
