After the Astros series wraps up 8/10 the Yankees finish August with the following non AL East series of home Twins, @Cardinals, home Nationals, @White Sox bracketing @Tampa, home Red Sox series. Early September is brutal juice with @Astros, home Blue Jays, home Tigers, @Red Sox. The rest of the way is much easier with @Twins, @Orioles, home White Sox, home Orioles. I'm thinking there's enough dreck in there for the Vegas folks to give the Yankees an overwhelming Yes vote to make the postseason.

Happy for C.C. but it feels strange to see the plaque praise him for having eight 200 inning seasons. They pull starters sooner now, yeah, but that's like distinguishing any inductee for having 500 at-bats in 8 seasons or something.

Aaron Boone said the "expectation" and "hope" is that Aaron Judge will return as a DH when eligible to be activated on Aug. 5. He performed light cage work today. That could continue through the week, with velocity machine work coming over the weekend.

Mark Leiter Jr. is scheduled to throw live batting practice Thursday, then would have a Minor League rehab game over the weekend. The Yankees hope to activate him Aug. 4-6 at Texas.
